So having run into a number of Pirates I'm not sure the AI is being "honest" in its use of talents.
Find it rather unbelievable as an example that a low level crew of say a Paladin Cruiser has enough Pilots all with Sharp Steering talent to fire it off 7 turns in a row during combat.

Thanks for the feedback Sad to hear you're not enjoying the AI. I wish I could say something to make it better. Not much I can do here. I guess on lower difficulties we could prevent them from buying Talents?

No it's fine as is, just frustrating when you're facing an enemy that not only fires off a talent every round but fires the exact same talent when you know they are manned by level 2 or 3 crew at best and that crewing limits should dictate that such activity is nearly impossible unless they are wildly undermanned in some critical ship operation area. Makes you even more suspicious of the AI when you win the fight go to conscript the crew and there are a dozen+ choices but the Pilot/Navigator you grab turns out to have a different talent from the one the AI used repeatedly in the fight. It's like what your Paladin Cruiser with a Crew of 20 had 9 pilots on board and I just happened to kill all 7 of the ones with sharp steering?

The enemy ship has a fully generated crew with Job Ranks, Talents, Character Levels, Skills, Attributes and Skills. Seems like there is some misunderstanding that we are "simulating" what an enemy crew might do instead of relying on real crew data, just like the crew you have.
We'll keep working on improving, but the issue is not atht we are just "making up" Talents.

Officers, Captains and a certain % of Crew are not shown in the "Press" screen.
Do you have issues on Windows where random talents show up in your screens during combat?
Have you found any ways to trigger Talents that don't you don't have, or to avoid cooldowns?
The AI is using the same code as the player for this, so if there is a bug we should be able to find it!!!

I've not seen any odd talent activation or me being able to use talents I don't have. My concern was just over the number of talents, especially the same talent that enemy AI activates in an given combat. Granted I tend to spread my talents about amongst both combat and non combat talents but even if I focused on all combat talents I'd be hard pressed, especially on the smaller ships to activate a combat talent every turn for 7+ turns when crew is all level 1-3.

Thanks! We will keep testing the generator carefully with every release and if we do find a bug, we will fix it quickly.
