I am especially interested in your list of notable items
Thanks for the welcome.
Well the list of notable items really depends on many factors, not least of course which characters one is using and how one has specced them and so IMHO it is really pretty subjective. It also depends on when the item is found during the course of the adventure, not just its raw stats. An item with mediocre stats can be strong if found very early and easily.
I'd rather just provide the list and leave discussion out as everyone will have different items and different preferences. However since you asked, I'll try to provide a 'notable' list as per character with some reasoning. All items detailed as per the jpg file above.
Vraes:
Serves as party tank and I was naturally keen to have items with good Armor/Parry/Dodge on him. Used Leafblade Barb for the longest time and it was a decent weapon for the most part though I must admit I wanted a stronger weapon when facing Deathkin.
Captain Lukai's Spear as a reward from Oskahold was a godsend and a really satisfying reward. Used it for many levels as the 5% SP drain is IMHO too good to give up vs a weapon with slightly better damage but no drain. From reading the forum the item given seems to adjust to user's weapon specialization so I believe everyone's experience might be a bit different here.
On armor I used Kallassian Overcoat for a good long while (I think I picked up one of these from a spiderweb of sorts), the one with 4% SP drain and that was a major find at the time. Eventually I switched it out for items with better armor (Scarred Hide Cuirass and Leather Overcoats) as I needed the extra protection. Cuirass of Harrow in early Ep2 stayed with Vraes for a good long while.
Necklace of Cortias is a great item for Vraes at 3 Parry and 12 Armor but I believe I found this pretty late (towards the end of finishing Ep1, deep in Redhill keep), so it really didn't play much of a role overall. Ditto for Baron's Torc (found this right at the end). Rabbit Foot Boots and Great Fur Boots while not as strong were found somewhat during midgame and were great to have (when you don't start out with much Parry or Dodge early on, every point helps).
If I thought I didn't need too much defence (as in I could kill incoming foes before they could land a blow), I would go for Barbarian's Torc for better accuracy and some SP drain. I think the name of the item just suits Vraes in any case

Silent Guard is not a bad choice either for Vraes, providing one of the best SP drain percentages early on and shoring up Vraes's weak SP totals.
Selen:
Before she opted for dualwield, she really wasn't doing much damage against armored foes and I'm glad I made the switch fairly early. Used a Leaf Dagger for a good long while throughout midgame and finally switched to a Sai Sword in the last 1/3rd of Ep1. Vrotta Dagger was a solid offhand throughout midgame, before switching to a really great Cross Blade with SP drain in about the last 1/3rd of Ep1.
Didn't use Pinning Shot much in Ep1, so I didn't really bother with bows much. Would probably use an Oxenbone Bow which I picked up midgame in Krete territory.
None of the early stealth armors I picked up were impressive. I believe I mostly went with whatever gave decent Stealth as I really didn't want to lose initiative.
Ring of Strength is a fantastic all-in-one package item for Selen (or for that matter any dps meleer), giving SP drain, melee accuracy, damage, +crit chance and +crit damage. Unfortunately it's also a very late find and really saw action in only a handful of fights in Ep1. As accuracy requirements in Ep2 are even steeper, this makes these +Accuracy items all the more valuable.
I usually rounded up Selen's gear with items providing more damage and SP drain. Drops of Blood and Barbarian's Torc (as above) were both very decent picks. I think I picked up Ring of the Hunter as a reward from Oskahold but I didn't really use it all that much.
Kyera:
I think this is where I will probably differ most from others as I believe quite a number of players use her as a healer/buffer/holy damage caster. I prefer to use her as melee, with healing being a secondary duty. As such her gear selection is fairly similar to Selen's. She doesn't have Selen's empowered strikes though so she has to make up for it with more Accuracy boosting items and to sustain a good amount of healing and use of Sacrifice, she also needs a good deal of SP drain.
As such I used a Kallassian Overcoat with SP drain for her as I did for Vraes early on, except that I kept this on a good deal longer. Chaplain's Heavy Mace (Oskahold reward) was a major boost in power and used well into Redhill before switching to a Flanged Mace.
As above, Ring of Strength is a great item, as is Torc of the Fallen. Silent Guard and Borrower's Torc helped in terms of SP drain.
Kjartan:
Mages need gear??

Ok but seriously Kjartan was mostly a Choking Ash debuffer in Episode 1 with an occasional Meteoric Shockwave thrown in and those are not gear dependent at all. If you're not casting Firebolts much (and since spamming bolts gets you drier faster than standing in a desert at noon...

), you don't really need ranged accuracy items or damage.
Of course everyone needs to survive though and seeing as Kjartan starts with so little hps, I mostly gave him +HP items and some +SP stuff. I can't really remember the details apart from Rimwood Staff, Weaving Shadow and Korvain's Chain. I think it shows you that's how much I bothered
Once again, I'd like to say that what's notable and preferred will differ greatly between players. I don't claim that my choices were optimal at all, just that I felt they generally worked out for me.
EDIT1: Rechecked Fist of Fanatic and it actually gives +6dmg not +6Acc (which would be insane). That's what you get when entering spreadsheet values late at night lol. My apologies for the mistake. When I get back home from work I will amend the pic/values. If anyone sees something fishy/not quite right, please feel free to comment. Hope others can chime with their item lists as well as I'm well aware this is just a small selection of possible drops.
