I could really use some +Rep with Cadar. The "Generous in Service" talent is just what the doctor ordered. Snap 1: Ilustrates the economy number when equal or less than ships medical the Generous Service is supposed to trigger. My Doctor is 12, the Economy is 3. Snap 2: Is the game description of the talent. Snap 3: Is my Doctor Officer's stats. Is it supposed to trigger automatically, or is there something I'm supposed to do? (Maybe it needs a little tweak?)

The talent description says that it is the ship's medical rating that is the trigger. You will need a medical chamber (small compartment +3) to trigger here. Better would be the medical bay (medium +5) if you have space. If you need rep that badly then you could temporarily fit a couple of med bays until things pick-up, turn your ship in to a galactic ambulance. I don't think that your doctor skill is involved here.

fallen didn't say that ChocoCrowbar needed a medical bay here, when she asked. startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/15184/generous-service-offlineSo it may be that you will have to land a few times to get the result you want as some other talent is firing when you land, and not the one you want. Let us know if getting the medical bay is needed. Sounds like a wonderful accessory for my Bounty Hunter -- I know you don't like it when I keep showing up and shooting notorious war criminals state heroes but, look at all the free medical treament I provide while I am there! All in all, you came out ahead!

bobc - spot on! The Talent says the comparison is between the zone's Econ rating and your "ship's Medical Rating". So, at this point, your Doctor skill is not involved. New Talent description tries to make that more clear, and adds Doctor into the equation (more fun): "If ship's Medical Rating is equal or higher than landing zone's Economy Rating, provide free care to citizens and gain Rep up to Doctor Skill"

I'm using an officer with all Doctor job points to see what will happen. Medical Chamber only yields a meager +3. That only makes sense if there was no Doctor aboard that knew how to use it. My Doctor is up to Level(14), this is one of the most exciting talents I've seen so far, once her skill gets added in. You really did a great job designing this talent, another option for reducing -rep. This is a real game maker, incentive to play a doctor. Thanks!

John Robinson - yep, so just upgrade your medical bay and you should find it more actively useful. You'll benefit even more in the next update by having a powerful Doctor (more Rep reward).

Picked up a triggering problem with Generous in Service, it is firing irrespective of zone economy. I've built my galactic ambulance with a medical rating of 15 (3 × medical chambers) expecting it to trigger for economies of 15 and below, but is actually triggering whenever I land. Highest yet is for an economy of 23.

The current version had a bug where it was comparing Medical Rating x 2 to the Economy.
Fixed for next.
