Stock Market!?

Since me are dealing with corporations and I suppose their main priority is making money then a stock market would make sense.
Im sure it would be a huge programming feat, but it could be fun and add a whole new aspect to the game.
Value of stock could depend on success of jobs completed which could possibly lead to stocks value rising and possibly falling for that particular company when contracts are failed and even add new types of missions, such as Insider Trading Missions or Price "Fixing".
In sports in real life some players have stock value so possibly that could lead to another aspect to trading your own stock. Which could rise and fall depending on success and failure of mission with particular factions. For instance you stock value might be threw the roof with Blue Ox but rocks bottom with KH. Stock value could get better pay for jobs or random bonus cash upon completion of consecutive missions.
Ill elaborate more later but its my bedtime. I just wanted to present a rough draft of my idea.

Gravis's Cyberknight spends time looking for exciting assassination missions and tough smash n grab missions,ripping a bloody swath through gangs and corps alike for his money.

LordofSyn's Cyberknight mines everyones networks for secret codes,hidden agendas, and blackmail oppurtunities while smashing black ice,avoiding tails, and hoping no one just comes up behind his husk n caps him...for his money.

Harry's Cyberknight Trades stock...

harry - Cory and I have talked at length about company stock, and the effects that might be had on them by a Knight's actions. If a stock market comes to pass in the NBZ, it will be affected by a lot more factors than the actions of your Knights. If it exists, it will be a real, living thing that thrashes with global changes, rumors, corporates wars... all of which will affect your Knight as well.

The "stock" between a Faction and a Knight is your Reputation.

Long before you can actually (if it ever happens) buy and sell CORP Stock you can buy and sell the real secrets -- the pay data.

An upcoming release will add the ability to buy, sell trade and discount pay data MPs allowing a Data Broker / CyberTrader class to exist.

Honestly, if you can trade data, who needs stock? I remember one of the hacking games I played where each 'file' had some randomized text string on it, such as 'internal memo itemizing recent authorized black ops' or 'video of manager sexually involved with a secretary' and such. Little blurbs like that add interesting depth to the normally dry idea of 'random paydata'.

I assume its because even if you trader data you would need to have a contact willinging to buy the data. Where as buying would only require credits.

.....and a stock broker which a small fee yuu would be paid to I assume. Cory?

Also what about buying black market bonds for a discount that may or maynot be worth amything from a shadowy figure in a back room. Perseption could play a part in discerning that deals.

There is a whole chapter in Corporate Security (SR3) which I'm sure you can find online somewhere if you look about this.

I think it is a great treatment of the why and why not of criminal corporate bond trading in cyberpunk.

FASA really had some good thinkers on staff back in the day. Influential stuff in my book and there is no way I'll overlook the key observations about that type of "shadow trading"

Oh and you can already buy shady black market Corp data in back rooms from reputable ... and not-so-reputable data brokers. Get friendly with the Yakashima
