Hi,
I see the option to re-spec for $1 (when I go rest in the Inn).
I do need to respec my current characters (I'm currently in episode 1), but can I pay another $1 if I want to re-spec the same character later on?

Boost-in and respec are a one time purchase on mobile.
Respec allows one free respec per character per game, but you can still use 20 moonstones to respec a second time if you have acquired that many moonstones thru play.
Boost-in allows you to start from episode 2 if you don't wanna replay ep1.

arjento - sorry, at this time there is no option to repetitively pay to Respec, though it is a pretty common request. As wascalwywabbit said, you can collect Moonstones to cover this gap.

Can you spend the dollar to get the respec, but not boost-in? or must you do both.
