Well, it looksto methat you clearly have the wrong gun, This gun was used in Demolition Man. That's why it doesn't work right. The gun from Eraser is a solid piece of shrunken down rail gun Technology. This is a smaller Gauss hybrid.
It works, but does take a specific amount of charge time. Snipes had taken the power converter, citing tax issues.
Carl Gauss is turning in his grave... where are the Gauss cannons??
Rail guns are expensive, even in their original size (on board aircraft carriers), and would still be only used by the PMC with the richest resources.

Gauss Rifles/ Coil guns are much easier and cheaper to make. They are much easier to maintain...and the form factor actually allows for Feasible Heavy weapons, Rifles, and even possibly larger pistols.
… well apparently, one of those files was MD9 hashed and could potentially cause Tar Baby damage...so watch your back chummers.
