Ok yes I know I'm supposed to be doing ST2 Alpha testing but I needed a break and reading about the latest updates to HoS had me wanting to get back in and do some dungeon crawling.
Decided to start a new party and try refining a build I've been messing about with for some time.
Main idea is to strip enemies of as much defense as possible and buff the party as I can.
Kjartan is the easiest for me as he goes Choking Ash straight to 10, then Immolation 10 followed by Burning Blades 10 (might consider leveling Immolation and BB simultaneously will see)
Selen as probably my single favorite character I have good feel for and
Pinning Shot 5, Punishing Blades 10 mixed with Dance of Shadows 7 minimum, and probably rest into Quicksilver Defense.
Fiona I'm still getting comfortable using but here goes.
Holy Strickening 10, Righteous Fervor 10, Reckoning 9-10, and rest into Blessed Aura for healing party. Obviously RF and Reck have minimum level requirements to meet and some extra healing is called for at lower levels so will likely be mixing the levels of BA in as I go instead of taking anything straight up.
Kincaid is presenting me a bit of a problem. I know what talents I want for him but without either Kyera or Vincent providing lots of AP stripping early I have concerns about the parties ability to deal with some of the major fights near end of EP1 where party starts out in open with lots of enemies surrounding them. In particular the bridge and Baron stand out as particularly nasty chances to lose an ironman run as the -1AP from Selen PS5 might not slow the onslaught enough. She can curse the ranged types fairly effectively by herself but that leaves melee types closing with full AP.
Party is currently just arrived in Oskahold and is level 6.
Kincaid has Sure Parry 4 and last level I started Crippling Strikes which I want to get to at least level 6 for AoE. Problem is I'm not sure if I can get it up to level 5 before those crucial battles at end of EP1 and if not would I be better respecing him and focusing on combination of Live by the Blade (looking to get to at least 7) and Cunning Footwork (gets whatever is left after CS and CF)?
