Another poll! This was another tough decision we've been forced to make, like choosing to support Baron Koda or the Braeys family (Link to that discussion: startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/15878/baron-koda-braeys-family). Personally, I've always spared him. When I was first given the choice, I figured good old Volt wasn't beyond saving. Plus, the Braeys appear to prefer this option for that very reason. I mean, his loot appears to be good, but meh. For RP reasons, I'd rather save him.

I've done both, but my natural inclination is to kill him. Snivelling little brat. He's only going to get worse in the clutches of Evanesse. Odd thing is though I've never actually made it to the Pale Walker quest with a group that chose to spare him. So I've never seen how sparing him actually works out.

I've also done both and see both as ehtically legitimate. On further playthroughs I'm gonna spare him because that seems to deliver a more interesting plot in Act IV, but I might be wrong about that. I didn't play Act IV yet and will be waiting until it's done.

The real Pale Walker stuff is in the next set of updates for E4

I spare him. It may be possible to save him. Also like the Braeys.

What this thread is really making me wish for is a way to have a Vlotgar/Valent cage match. Let the two entitled babies duke it out with their silver spoons. I didn't see that in the story choices.

I am the right hand of death. Voltgar dies like the rest.

I am the right hand of death. Voltgar dies like the rest. I choose mercy, as is the way of my (undertale) people! There is still good in Vlotgar! Stay determined!

So if you spare him he becomes the Pale Walker. Does that mean if you do kill him he becomes the brown walker?

I am the right hand of death. Voltgar dies like the rest. But death is oft regarded as sinister i.e. left handed... :-p Probably wrong game for that joke, but I regret nothing!

Whether or not I kill Voltgar depends on my party build and whether or not I want his gear. If I don't need his gear then it is 50/50, sometimes I kill him regardless just 'cause he is such an insufferable little snot. He's almost as bad as the season rider in that regard.
