When you first go to see a contact, you don't get any options. Have to hit the back button and reselect before the lhs buttons show up.

Odd. Anything else you can share? Can immediately confirm here that the options appear on all devices within reach.

grävling - this happens the very first time you visit a contact? The second time? Every time? Trying to figure out how to reproduce it.

Land on planet.
tap contacts icon.
get a list of contacts.
tap on a name.
this is what you get.
very first time you visit a contact after landing. If I went to the exchange, sold stuff, came back, the contact would not have a problem. If I flew away and came back, the first time I talked to this one, he would.

My baby Rychart Spy met a xeno and died. sigh.
So I made a DV military officer captain. First contact he visited, a Prince, did not have the problem. However often you visited. The second contact he visited, on a different planet, a politician, did.
It may be that the spy was the same way -- you don't notice 'not having a problem' until you expect to have one.

I had met the Politician once before. Returned to map forgot to follow up on some missions he offered. Landed back on the planet the second time. Clicked on the Politician got the same screen snapshot that grävling posted. |

Ok, was able to find a device that did this reliably. Two racing events, depending on the device, one seems to get ahead of the other and sometimes cause the list not to load.
Fixed for next.

Unfortunately, the best work around I can offer at the moment is to exit the Contact screen and come back in again.

back button works. press it, then press the contact's name again.

ran into this last night as well. I didn't notice that back button/reselect jiggle working, it just showed me a black screen. (1.3.5 iPad) This was a NEW game where I had/have 2 starting contacts. Through talent or rumor, a new contact appeared, and viola, I could not see anything on the screen. The game is still in it's same state on my iPad. I'll email it shortly to atrese@gmail.com   |

The issue is already fixed for next.
The workaround should be to hit back and then re-open the contact.
We'll get this out asap.
