So a storyline countdown won't start if you don't meet the contact, even if you land on their planet? If that's the case, I won't visit any of such contact until I'm comfortably in funds. Depends on which story! And they're all based around the era they occur in so they time out in big groups if you don't kick them off early enough. By being too passive and avoiding the content, you'll definitely miss a lot of content. That won't be the optimal play style. However, as we have said we have been dedicated for years to the ST:RPG player and what they want -- we've studied and talked to them for ages. We'll support all the styles, all the approaches. No matter how active you want to be in the storyline, the trading system, the political the game will march on.

Heads up -- that is no idle warning from Nikolai. While that bug is at large, be sure to be ready for trouble down the line. (fixed in next if you settle) Yeah, I discovered that last night, when a bounty hunter showed up looking for Nik. Luckily I had a navigator with sufficient skill, so we just sang: Skip, skip, skip off the void;Skip, skip, skip off the void; Skip, skip, skip off the void; Skip off the void, my starship.

khearn - yes, as of the next release -- that's a great delay tactic. However, Zerod is famous for never letting a target go. If you Skip Off the Void, you should expect to see him again soon.

I like it! Great idea for the storyline arcs. Really like the idea that you turn into the hunted! -- Possible future idea: Would like they idea of certain storylines causing a bounty hunter (or faction) to come after you, depending on if you completed (or didn't complete) certain tasks; or perhaps if you insult the contact, or your rep is too low (or too high-- you have 100 rep with Thulun, and the contact hates Thulun) anyway, just ideas.

Yeah, I think Zerod is great example of that. The proc gen system will have this as well, but it will be something we have in the stories. It already occurs in a couple of the ones we are testing at the HQ.

Yes, Zerod will level up with you as time passes. If you're a merchant, then you shouldn't have decided to betray him.
