Hey, Love the game, evidenced by the fact I'm on my second playthru and trying a different path, but I can't get Koda or anyone to come to the gate to interact. I've visited Braeys and been offered to carry their banner for an Emberlog, but after my initial interactions with Koda (can't remember what quest that generated), no one will come to the gate of his castle in Brunehorn to discuss banner/Emberlog. I've tried heading up to CoD but the guards won't let me pass. And despite having cleared all the shrines and the Cult house in Brunehorn, I can't seem to close out that quest either.
What am I missing? Thanks Thor

What am I missing? Thanks Thor Thor - what does your quest log say? It seems you might want to visit the Inn in Brunehorn to discuss it. If not that, then you might need to take a trip down river first to visit the Druid?

The Brunehorn inn just offers rest. I’ve ridden the river from Brunehorn, only granthorn and riven field are offered. the Braeyshalum inn offers discussion about Braeys offer, but I haven't clicked to accept the offer.

Thor - have you returned to the Brunehorn docks? There may be an option there to go down the river to visit the Druid? You may also need to return to the gates of the Brunehorn and tap on the red locked doors.

I’ve done that, no response at the red locked gates in brunehorn. there’s s no option from the brunehorn dock to visit the Druid. Just riven field and granthorn. I remember the Druid from my first playthru not sure how to tigger it now
btw thanks for the response. Y’all clearly love what ur doing to respond twice on a satruday'!

Definitely love the game and here to help until we get this resolved Final 2 questions I need answered -- 1) what is at the Brunehorn inn? Did you completely finish the Underforge? The city has collapsed? 2) What is in your quest log regarding the Koda side? There must be an active entry of some sort that says something and I need to know the text of it.

I’m not getting anything about the underforge at the brunehorn inn. It just offers rest
In re koda, it’s just says we could ask baron koda about an ember log. But when I go to his gate, there are no options
It also still states we must rest at the braeyshalam inn and discuss braeys offer. I’ve done that, been thru the discussion, but haven’t committed to braeys side

If you've cleared the cult house you should be able to do the Underforge now. Just go back in there and find the hidden staircases down. Maybe once you get through that you'll get more Koda options. I don't think you'll get the druid quest unless you've done Underforge first.

Return to the cult house and find the secret doors in the SW or SE corners of the big temple room. Good luck!

You’re in for a treat. Gameplay wise the Underforge is challenging, forcing you to adopt many new strategies to deal with high range, high mobility units. Story wise it is some of the best heroes of Steel has to offer and that is saying a lot as this game has one of the strongest stories of any rpg I have played (I’ve played 100+ at least).

it is excellent. can't believe I missed this all the first time! So glad I didn't just shrug and accept the Braeys offer. Without your timely and rapid help, I'd have not had the experience. Thank you not only for creating such a great game, but also for sticking around and taking care of the folks playing it. A really great way to run an operation Cheers

Thor, there is a map thread stickied in the Tips and Tricks section. They can be spoilers, but are also helpful for looking back and making sure you didn't miss anything.

outstanding maps, that's a lot of work! Underforge was crazy fun. I'll have to play thru again, tho: *** spoiler*** I kited Vraes to each stone, and kept the other 3 back at the central altar. Unfortunately, after I beat the boss, there's no way to go back to collect all those boxes I left behind as Vraes scrambled from stone to stone as fast as he could go. I'll just have to revisit with a new, more thorough, team!! Maybe try out some of the optional characters cheers!!!!
