I remember a PC game that came out probably over a decade ago. It had a very interesting and dynamic system for healing wounds and HP damage. It has been awhile since I played it obviously, but as I remember it, you could heal through resting, potions, med kits/first aid or magic spells, but each had differing efficiency and used together they became more efficient.
Using a potion or spell would heal you a flat amount, no matter how hurt you were.
Med kits/first aid would heal you if you were only barely hurt, like only down by 5% or less. It was just first aid.
Resting would heal you based on how long you rested vs. how hurt you were. If you were just slightly hurt, like >70% max HP, you could rest up and have all that healed. But if you got to something like 50% max HP, it took much longer to rest from 50% to 70% HP than it did for >70% HP. Once you got below 25% HP or so, resting wouldn't heal you at all, or at such a pathetic rate that it would take you weeks to improve just a little.
But, if you used med kits/first aid and/or potions before resting, you would see a major improvement in how quickly you healed. Even though the medkit/first aid couldn't heal you up any from 10% HP, if you used it and then rested, you could heal up at the same rate as if you had only been hurt to something like 50% HP. It got better performance when you added in the potions too.
I wonder if using additional restorative items while resting like this could somehow be implemented while resting at a hotel or safe house in CK...

You mean, like using ANY medkit in a hotel would then fully heal you, but not if you used training. And, high price hotels should heal better and keep you unexhausted longer.
