I'm cursed ! It took me ages to have a doctor as contact from who I can recruit medic, I was doing my first mission to level up my Rep with her and she was killed just before I'll come back :sob:
There is no warning, I have to find that she was kill in my log captain
Perhaps you should add something when that sort of thing occurs during a mission for the contact who's killed
I wish there was a warning when I came back on the planet of my contact to obtain my reward : "sorry, she was killed by xxx from clan zzz" or "oh, Ms yyy, sorry she has died of..." something like that. Or better : an offer to investigate ^^

One of the good reasons that these go into the Spice Hall and the Captain's Log is that these events happen when the player is not read for feedback or information.
In the past we had set it up to interrupt and it wasn't pleasant. I don't think we want to go back.

In the past we had set it up to interrupt and it wasn't pleasant. I don't think we want to go back. Hello, I agree : interruptions are not pleasant, and that's not what I suggest. I will better explain what happened and why I made this suggestion : I took a mission from my contact, did it successfully and so I click on the Navigate button to return for my reward. She was killed while I was travelling. At the planet, i didn't pay attention that both icons for Contact and Mission were gone and I landed as usual. Surprise : no button to speak to my contact, no current mission and (off course) no contact anymore... I finally understood what had happened only when I looked at my Captain's Log and I saw "Our contact Dachess De Cain has been killed". Suggestion in two cases : 1) When the contact is killed and we have no contract with her/him : no change... Or perhaps a quick reminder of who was the contact when we hover over the news in the Captain's Log, or allow us to click on the news to open the usual window of the contact (so we can remember who she/he was and what she/he offered us) 2) When the contact is killed while we are doing a mission for her/him : let us return to the planet, land and give us the usual End Mission button ( (1) in my screenshot below) but with a new caption, perhaps something as "Something wrong happened" or "you can't locate your contact anymore", and when we click on it we can have a quick explanation of what happened or a dialog with someone who explains what happened. I like this solution because we have a better understanding of what happened AND it's an easy way to introduce a new story (a friend or a member of the family who want us to take revenge or to discover who is guilty, or a new contact who need someone to pursue a mission he/she had entrusted to our poor now dead contact, etc.)  |

Thanks for the suggestion! We'll keep working to make this more clear. However, we have to work within the limitations of the data that the game keeps.
