"Assassinate VIP" / "Kidnap Prince" sounds interesting - possible contract to go to the palace and take out the prince? Could require some sort of unlock, high rep with faction sending you or minimum captain level or something? Massive payoff and target faction will totally hate you? i think that captains are not meant to assassinate landbound people, but you never know what those "honored guests are really up to... ASSASSINS!

I accumulated some contracts, all with the same destination Palace at Cadar-UTF Capital. Once I got there, it was abandoned. The Prince hiding after a vicious assassination attempt. Guess it is also just bad luck then?
Now, I still have 8 days until the contracts expires and I am flying back and forth in the hope, the prince returns. But chances are slim, are they?

Usually contracts (especially assassination contracts) are kept pretty quiet until the target is acquired and the "shot" is fired so to speak. It wouldn't do for these plans to be common knowledge.
The people who organized YOUR contracts, worked hard to get all the material together, and then got you to sign up for a large amount of cash certainly didn't know that there was going to be an assassination attempt.
It's a bummer that you got caught up in some other person's contract, and being Cadari at heart, I'm glad that the Steel Song assassin failed. How did I know it was a Steel Song assassin? 1) Only they would be stupid enough to sign up to assassinate a Cadar prince 2) They failed in their job - Steel Song reeks of incompetence

blackgauntlet - that was wrong what you did there. Black Martket would be cool. As would missions like assassinating the prince. This goes along with the whole idea of the things we do affect what goes on across space: Assassinate a prince and a different faction moves in and takes over that planet or it goes Independent. I have always wondered about smugglers and pirates sneaking into the Trade Halls. Pirates can "creep into docks to sell stolen cargo". It makes me think I could sell Weapons, Artifacts and Electronics somwhere I don't have a trade permit by creeping in the back door or through a black market. I haven't found anything like that in the game though. And why does it have to be a black market? Kind of racist don't ya think?

No way. If you assassinated the Prince...let's not even go there.

Hmm... kinda late that you're starting to find issues with my sick sensahuma only now. ;D And you're right. Black Market sounds racist. How about Negro (which is Latin for "black" but sounds worse) Market? All thanks to semantic shifts, everything is politically incorrect nowadays. Hell, we can't even say "gay" to mean happy!

Let me add in that negro is also Spanish for black.

I think "negro" in every language means "black". But, actually, since Spanish has Latin roots... so... yeah.

Hmmm ... Chinese Market is completely different ... you'd get lots of tacky knock-off goods that are cheap, illegal, but make your kids happy. Would NOT recommend buying weapons from this market if you plan on actually using them in anger.

Well, when you're angry, whatever you do would be to make someone hurt, isn't it?
And someone is gonna get hurt real bad if you are using them Chinese weapons. ;D

It proves that you're not even worthy real ones. The worst form if pre-murderous disrespect.
