I've been playing the game off and on for a while and just discovered the board. I love the game but there send to always be one thing that stops me on impossible, my own faction. I will be landing in my planet, get stop pied by my faction, hit ignore, and go down in a blaze of torpedoes. Same faction combat shouldn't happen unless initiate by the player.
For my ideas, the first one is more of a help to all players, deep-space space stations. If earth can put a space station in orbit in less than 50 years, why can't the cadar use their torpedo tech to plant one in deep space (without boeing it up). There's a lot of empty space and nothing to full it. Also, it wouldn't need Sun planted next to it.
My second idea is for a new elite class. We already do missions for a faction against another faction, have a class that has a small (2-5%) chance if inciting a solar war or trade war it something. They could have double rp gains during a solar war, discounted prices during a trade war, and 75% rp gains with non-staying faction. It would be more fun to add the ideas of territory gain/loss.
Another thing I just thought of is having another menu option to see other skips in the area do our pirates can choose who to prey on without having to go very far from their home planet. If no one is there, they move on.
Last suggestion before I get back to work, include a wait button in the spice hall. It would be nice to not have to wastefuel or money to eat too the weeks until the palace opens so I can finally finish my contact. You can even throw in some negative morale for x amount of weeks.
