Shouldn't it be like 200% + explore skill. Then maybe, just maybe, it would be worth hauling a load full of crap.

If a Crew Dog is promoted to officer, and get the Barked Order talent from Commander and the Dogged Pursuit and Resolute Hound talents from BH, they should get a special dog outfit and story arc for being such a canine themed character.

New Explorer talent: Biomass Profiteer -- When selling biomass, increase profits by 25% + Explore skill Obviously this is necessary for Explorer to be a viable playstyle. "I tell you what. I only sell biowaste and biowaste accessories!" -Hank Hill. (probably)

Funny one I came across roaming the digital pastures,
"If brains were gunpowder, you wouldn't have enough to blow your hat off with"
I could see an angry quarter master chewing out the crew with that.

Heard in a spice port:
"How many De Valtos does it take to change a light bulb?" A: None. De Valtos wouldn't change a burned-out bulb. Instead they round up all the bulbs in surrounding systems, then sell into the shortage.
"How many Xeno Cultists does it take to change a light bulb?" A: None. They create a complicated construct in which xeno technology and electricity are merged, but it never lights up because the cultists inadvertently ate that bit in one of their rituals. Also, the construct eventually breaks free and kills them all.
[fill in jokes about your favorite factions here until..]
"So how DOES a light bulb get changed in the Galaxy?"
Answer: "How else? Someone pays a star trader to do it."
Tongue-in-cheek,

"So how DOES a light bulb get changed in the Galaxy?"
For a steep price, the Gestalt Technologists will be able to do it. But only if they already have the genetic conditioning for the specific lightbulb involved, and even when they succeed there is no guarantee that the lightbulb won't just burn out once again the same way.

I would like a "Box of Shame" component. It would be a small component and you could put any Highbrow, Proud or Greedy crew in there for 6 months. They would not contribute to ship talents and skills during this time, but on release the offending trait would be removed.
...actually, I'm not sure I'm joking about this.

How many Zenrin does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. If you ask, they will remind you light bulbs existed in the time of the guild, and they will oppose any attempt to change the bulb, because it will take away their freedom in five hundred years. Somehow.
