Maybe it never died... Maybe it just went dormant for a long time, biding its time, waiting for the stars to align just right... slayernz we need a 'cat'thulu picture... like yesterday...

Way ahead of you on this one benifits of being freinds wIith EVERYONE: - No hostile ships except Independent Pirates - immunity for trade embargoes - ability to trade contraband and access military base for all planets - Super good exchange prices and contract pay - Great ships at every faction stardock - Enough crew available at every faction hall - 1k price for healing wounds -No need to worry about losing rep occasionally -And more!!! Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.... What level is that character at? What difficulty? What year? 1k privé for healing wounds seems as a low difficulty. I have never cut the price on Insane below 3.7k The rest is pretty much true though, with several tweaks. Immunity to trade embargoes comes from rank 18, not a huge reputation. Truth is that huge reputation means trade embargoes take longer to decrease the reputation though. But that is the only reputation loss protection I know about. Reputation cuts down buy prices a little, but doesn't increase sale prices, these depend on your negotiation skill. More effective is Rank though. I haven't noticed any increase in minimal payment in contracts, only had a chance to get some better paid ones. Super good ships in star docks... Does he mean flagships? Again, rank 17 But having huge ranks has its' disadvantages too. One has to abide by oaths of alliance and loyalty and war violations in contracts unless he is ready to lose some ranks. Once this was beginning of my demise, I picked up three contracts against Cadar, lost three ranks due to violating oaths of loyalty, then violated trade embargo against them, became ambushed by a pirate (note Good reputation doesn't protect you against pirates, only trade permit does) and destroyed, because I was amateur and didn't want to surrender. Note that some lower ranks are immune to these oaths of things, but even rank 8 is where you have to abide by these oaths.

Wound healing costs are based on the amount of damage you've taken. Healing 1 HP when you are at 2/10 is much more expensive than healing 1 HP when you are 9/10.

I know, at 2/10 I never cut it under 10k, although usually it was still a bit more. The point was though that in higher difficulty I have never seen a cure cheaper than 3700, while he said the prices for it were 1000 due to good relations.

Final rule of ST, buy ST2 upon release? First rule of ST2, let your loved ones know you're not dead but tell everyone else you are so you can play uninterrupted.

If you are healing from 9/10 it should be very cheap! It should, 3750 on insane, about 4000 on impossible.

And buy WF before you complete the contract? Oh wait, if you play at Impossible difficulty, you start with no money so you're stuck there
