Wowzers!
You take us whiney-babies way too seriously, Cory.
Just... wow...
BTW, what's InstaDie? There are things that are more horrible than PermaDie?

The sentences need to be changed, of course, but I like the looks of this.
I think that the difference between 'perma-die' and 'insta-die' is 'death is permanent if you have 0 ready exp points' vs 'death is always permament'. In which case, it might makes sense to not label this 'Death Mode' but 'Ressurrection Mode'. If a floating 'tool tip' explained the various modes when you touched each option, that might keep the confusion down.
All of this sounds very exciting. I'm getting impatient again, as you intended. ;D

It's like, "How would you like to Die today? You want Fries with that?"

Yeah, I posted it before working out the text or UI stuff. The concept is what I wanted to share. This is something that is supported in the CK engine, but isn't a capability of the ST system of game difficulty. Adding these features and individual options was something we learned from player feedback on ST. Along with this update will come a huge XP bonus for anyone playing on perma death modes

I'm wondering about 'economic level' myself.
Is this 'how much loot monsters drop, on average, when you scavenge their corpses'?
or
'how much you get paid per job completed and data given to a data hound'
These could be separate things to set, of course.
or is economic level something else altogether? 'evening the odds with monsters' is just a leftover, I assume.

From the screenshot, it looks like your latter assumption seems more correct.
