Currently, I don't really have an idea where I am on the galaxy without explicitly looking at the galaxy map. Replacing the rather static and boring hyperwarp static image with a "you're jumping from here to here" galaxy map would certainly help with that.

I suggest you also hotkey the map, that will help

That's an interesting suggestion. I'm sorry you think the hyperwarp image is boring, we will keep working to improve the graphics!
Thanks for playing.

It's not boring because of the graphics, but because it conveys no information.

but the jump screen have all the info: rift name, destination quad name, jump talent status, nagivation save talent status, cost, danger and duration. also you know where you do want to go before making a jump anyways... and you can see your course highlighted on the map. adding galactic map screen with big shiny pointers to jump screen wont add anything to the game that aint already in the game.

Yeah, the name is there. Names take a while to learn. Pictures are faster.
I usually go by waypoint navigation, so I don't always know the names by heart.
Maybe it's a related thing, but the shortcuts don't really work while navigating, so I can't just pop up the galaxy map while cruising - gotta stop first, then open, then start again. So I rarely do it.

but if you have the course ploted by navigate/waypoint button, then you dont even have to know where youre going while in transit, as its already kinda automatic.

Thanks for the feedback, we'll keep working to improve. unback there isn't a need to really argue with another player who has requested something to convince them they are wrong reactormonk thought this would be a good idea, he suggested it and we'll consider it. I def like the idea but not sure its something in scope based on how its all built
