I will post other issues I have with the UI in this topic. There are plenty of things I've found, so I'll keep them here. These will range from bugs to "not a bug but really ought to be fixed". This first gripe I have revolves around cancelling a mission. On this screen, there is no option to cancel a mission. Oh, wait, yes there is! However, why isn't it here? Here is my suggestion: Remove the 'actions' tab at the top left. Move Cancel Mission onto the actual mission sheet, place it on the right of the other buttons, and color it red. The reason I say to remove the top left Action button is because not only is it superfluous, it's also a bit wonky. Why does this option include 'waypoint' but not Navigate? Why does this option include Waypoint and Navigate, but not Cancel? You might as well remove the top left option and keep the middle-screen option. It makes more sense, anyway. ... I'll add more to this topic at a later date.

Another minor suggestion: There needs to be a way to use the navigate option in the map atlas menu.

A series of suggestions for the UI in the battle combat view. In general, I find the ESC button to be very tricky in this game. It doesn't work sometimes, and it does during others. On the initial screen, ESC does nothing. I feel like it should open the options menu, or pop out a highlighted character's details at the least. -When a character's details are out, the Fight button should pop up a prompt asking if you really want to enter the fight. -There should be a way to choose a character's preferred slot, rather than it being automatic. -Additionally, when I filter by 'Fighter,' it's not clear what characters are even being shown. I, personally, would like to see only characters with 'combat talents' shown, but I don't have a way to filter by that setting. -There's no way to tell by the left-side character menu who is fielded and in what slot. If I have the character details menu open, I have to close it to check. -Even if I know, there's no way to select a character to remove or add to the field when the menu is open. I have to close it, select or deselect it, and open it again. Why do I need to keep checking? Because I don't have a method to filter characters just by those with combat talents. Also, when a character's details are being displayed, like so, the ESC button should close the detail's menu and return you to the main fighter select screen. SO, to summarize: -Make Esc toggle the character details menu in and out -Give us a way to see on the left-side display what characters are presently fielded -Give us a way to field and remove characters from the field while the character detail screen is up -Give me something that will let me choose a character's preferred slot. The shotgun guy might be slot 1, 2, or 3 depending on the enemies I'm about to face, and I don't have any checkboxes to change their behavior. -Give me an option to filter out any characters who do NOT have a combat talent, like the one below That's all for this post.

Another thought, and this is more of a general UI improvement, not a bug. When I am accepting missions, I think it would be nice if I could see something like a general overview of the galactic map showing me where at least the first, and possibly additional stops are located. Take this mission, for example. It's 8 jumps long. It tells me the exact location of Thulum Prime and then back to Prince Calagan, so if I wanted to exit this menu, go back to my ship, open the galactic map, find the location, see what other missions I'll pass by, and etc, I can do that. However, doing so is very tedious and slow, plus actually searching for the location can be tedious, since I'll have to check each sector one by one. So, here's my suggestion: Add a button called Starmap. Starmap will open up the starmap, show your present position, and the location of at least the first jump's destination. Showing additional jumps would be great, and having some method for showing your other current missions via a toggle button would be swell, too. I originally thought the 'waypoint' button would do this, but it doesn't. Waypoint is literally just a second "accept" button, and that's all it is.

Ooooh, I've found a really bad UI bug by accident. So imagine you're on your map screen, yeah? Now right click any sector. With that sector selected, right click a different sector. Alright, so they start double stacking, instead of replacing the previous window. Maybe it's a feature? Well, if you cancel the newest window by hitting cancel, you can't cancel the first window. (The above image is a gif, just a heads up.) I had to cancel out with the escape button. There is more glitchiness in that screen, too. I managed to somehow open the system atles for a sector while immediately clicking "set waypoint" and it caused some major fuckiness, but I can't replicate it again. I'll let you guys know if I do.

Oh, I see what happened. If you right click the same system more than once, it makes all of the buttons break in a similar manner to if you did the above steps. I must have accidentally right-clicked that House Thulun system twice in a row and that's what bugged it out for me the first time.

Thanks for the engagement! Glad to hear I'm helping. Another issue; why doesn't the trade screen list the exact number of units any given spaceport stocks for each product? Here, you can see that my cargo hold has 85 spots for cargo. I can fill it up with these carbonite crystals. That's great! But how many more are left at this spaceport? Are there several hundred? Only 85 crystals in total? Maybe only 86? Seeing the full quantity of each product should definitely be in the game.

A big, important recommendation. I've been doing a lot of trader missions. If I need to procure some resource, then when I'm looking at the trade screen, or a star atlas, it should highlight the resource I need. With so many resources in the game, and being told a [TEXT NAME] while having to scour through [ICONS], it is very slow and difficult to find the resources I need. Why not highlight the resource we need with a golden color, indicating we need it for a quest? Hovering over it with the mouse would bring up not only the standard tooltip window, but maybe something that also says it's needed for a quest, how many the station supplies, and how many we need.

Thanks, the mission highlight is on our list already from other players.
Same recommendation when in the Exchange.

I'm always glad when my feedback is helpful I finally got time to play now that it's my weekend. So, this time, I have a small suggestion. I used to use right-click-to-navigate for the star system map screen, but didn't like that it didn't let me right click to see distances first. I've recently switched to the "Right Click Sets Waypoint" navigation option, but I think this option would be better if one right click sets a waypoint, and a second right click actually navigates there. Right now I have to right click and then either click navigate at the bottom, or right click and press spacebar. Making double-right-click set a waypoint and then navigate would be great, since it would allow me to travel around more quickly, while retaining the ability to right click different planets to check their distance.

It would be neat if, on these mission accepting screens, we could not only see the starmap like I recommended earlier, but also a list of mission-improving talents that might be used. Ex: The talent which gives me +3% payment per jump. To be clear, I know that once I accept the mission, it tells me which talents were used, but if I accept a bunch of missions all at once, I never quite know what talents are active beforehand and which aren't.
