I have tried to post this same post 5 times with a lack of luck.
I know there are many ways to get to the same point..so I will link the item from here.
newer items, I hope to be able to keep within the forums.
Now, I hear a lot of people complaining about the need to go for implants, when they don't want implants. There are always ways around everything. This thread is to add brainstorming ideas to create a list of fully functioning devices that replicate up to 90% of what can be achieved through cyberware.
1st on the list. TempTaps

( I hope the link actually works)
edit: in case link doesn't work. {picture shown in link}
I am not normally one of those chummers that choose to go the low tech route and shy away from cyberware. However, some people have rejection issues, some are allergic to the foreign materials involved. Whatever the case, there is a huge demand for devices to help the Fleshies.
This week: old tech, but good tech.
Before the old datajack, before the new hovering droids, even before the full Data Terminals...there were TempTaps. They allowed all non-attenuated personnel the ability to access, manipulate, and hack in the Internets. Using SQUID technology, mixed with VR sensory outputs...the user is able to facilitate full actions within SimVids, within normal computer programming, and of course within the World Wide Web using Virtual Reality codecs.
Looking like a simple sun visor,and weighing in at a total of 2.5 grams, the TempTaps fit over your head like a cap. Align the "feet" of the device to sit over your temples, and plug it in. The device will register itself to your alpha waves within minutes, and then you can enjoy movies, reality death matches, and surf all within the privacy of your own head.
You can even record your own experiences to share with others'
Some models (like the one shown) even have a wig attached for extra concealment.
(Model series no longer in production:
Lenny
Sidney Rice
Decker)
