- The last time Val left my ship, she took the level 6 armor and level 7 weapon I'd equipped her with (normally, a crewman who leaves returns all equipment to inventory).
- Is the Cadar prince in the Coalition Founder story really supposed to be named "Caavnagh", rather than "Cavanagh"?
- Occasionally, when I try to bribe a non-combat captain type, there's no limit to how many bribes I can give--the number on the right keeps going up, while the number on the left is stuck at -1. (I realize some types I don't actually have to bribe anyway, but I've never been completely sure which ones won't hurt my rep.)
- I had the weirdest incident last night, where a mutiny happened all of a sudden, without any drop in morale until right when it happened. After the mutiny, I stopped and raised morale as high as I could in the spice hall, but my "warning light panel" still showed that several crew had dangerously low morale; upon inspection, most or all of these were officers. But then, some event happened (an encounter with another ship, I think), and all the warnings disappeared when the event was over.
- When you successfully get a "trader" card that allows you to enter the black market, the button at the bottom still says "Repeat", rather than something like "Success" or "Enter".

Ya know, after reading something else, I'm wondering if the event that turned all the warning lights off was a jump to a less dangerous quadrant.

MTKnife - thanks for the post! 1) It is a known issue that Val steals. On our list to fix. Don't give her stuff you don't want her to take with her. Gifts are gifts. 2) Yes, that is correct. 3) Sometimes, bribes can't move the needle, confirmed. 4) The spice hall can report that it can't raise Morale any higher if no one has Morale below its max. A low Spice Rating can lead to this easily. Spice Rating 3 can only raise to 45 Morale, which I would consider dangerously low still. Bad hyperwarp jumps can definitely kick off a mutiny, the damage can be very bad. Will look at the black market button!

I adore this aspect of the ST:F universe. It exhibits cool phonetic/linguistic drift in proper names, resulting in names that are almost but not quite what we're used to:
- Magdalene/Magdalena => Magdalen
- Dominique => Domnique (certainly u-nique)
- Cavanaugh => Caavnaugh
- Dorothy => Dorytha
- Stephen => Setenph (I love this one)
And it introduces some completely new names, like Mechthild and Theomoses for females, and Declar for males. (I sense a programmer at work)
So I accept every ST:F name, exactly as written. Small differences are to be cherished, as a reminder that you're not in the Earth.Kansas zone.

Many of the mutated names you reference come from Fan Fiction, Kickstarter backers and role playing games.
I believe I even know the backer who added Mechthild and Theomoses, which I also love.
Thank you for accepting our game. It may have some odd words and strange pronunciations, but we believe this is part of the magic.
