I've been playing the game for about 3 weeks (love it!) and then suddenly today ran into a problem. The scaling settings (which was at 80%) reverted to 100% and now I cannot change it. I also cannot change the full screen vs windowed setting.
Nothing at all happens when I click on the full screen button. When I click on the scaling button it changes to 90% but no lower, and when I exit out of the settings it reverts back to 100% immediately. I've tried restarting, uninstalling/reinstalling, running as an administrator.
Any ideas what I can try next?

It sounds like something has changed in your GPU or DPI configuration. I've seen this happen in Windows 10 when displays are connected and disconnected frequently. It sounds like you are on Windows, based on the "running as an administrator" so I'm guessing it is related to DPI settings. Star Traders: Frontier's only settings is stored in an XML file here: startraders.gamepedia.com/Save_Game_LocationsIf you delete the .xml file in the appropriate folder, that will reset all STF options to default. If the game doesn't return to the previous behavior then the configuration isn't in the game. You can also control the exact size of the window by passing in "winwidth" and "winheight" arguments are the command line. Glad you enjoyed the game. If you can share more details about OS/GPU/hardware I might be able to take some more guesses. Thanks!

For future reference, UserDefault.xml was empty and options were not saving.
