Let shuttles help with distress signal

As it is right now, my big fat sword Battlecruiser NEVER gets to a distressed ship in time.
(Linked to agility and/or speed?)
However, I have small craft on board and imo, it would be very flavorful to have shuttles help rescue and use their agility/speed instead (or a mix or similar) (maybe any small craft for balancing? Flavor would only suggest shuttles though).

That's definitely nothing that matters from a technical point of view but I'd like helping people instead of just watching them die.
