Stealth eye shows on sniper with no active buffs (v3.0.81-steam)

Equipped "Wolfheart Gene" gear and sniper has the eye of stealth mode above always. Has no active buffs and stealth mode is not active. Just to test, it would not allow stealth abilities to activate. Unequipping "Wolfheart Gene" and stealth eye disappears. 2 pics attached.
