better weapons only in elite version?

Hello,
I just downloaded the game and played a little bit.yesterday, i read a thread with some beginner tips.someone wrote that (if you play a sniper guy ) you should buy the yak 251 mk. Well i found that sniper but it is marked as "elite only".

Do i have to buy the elite version to get better weapons or other runners in my team?

@someuser - there are specific Weapons, Armors, and Implants that are only available in the Elite version. Also, you team is limited to (I think) 1 additional Runner in Free, where you can get a team of up to 3 Runners in Elite.

We work hard to insure that our free versions of our games are have lots of content, and are very playable for many hours. If you want all the best you have to go Elite. We are a very small, indie game shop here, and we hope that if you like our games you will be willing to support us.

Its a small price to pay for a good game capable of eating a good chunk of time, I suggest going elite if you enjoy free.

Supporting indie groups is a positive thing that can lead to some neat games with a different perspective on things that your used to.

The mere fact that you ask if it is worthwhile after getting to the point in Free where you found out the gun was Elite only, shows me that you enjoyed Free enough to show you just how much more you get with Elite.

Support allows for continued development, and to get to bigger, better games we all want to play!

fallen, you have obtivously been too kind to the sock puppets, and now they seem to want to eat!

Yeah, you'd get guns that do 80 damage...

Bad thing is that '80 damage' somehow doesnt cause loss of 80 points worth of stuff (sails,engines,armor, or hull)... But i would think a single shot from a 80 dmg weapon in CK would cause something along the amount of damage shown in that picture.

Yeah probably,the ck that can make that damage surely wants to be called God...=) will we see that ck? Maybe =) but he could be called in another way...rumors say "Cory the Punisher"(yes,with the Cory's face and a skull tattoed on his face)...he will make 80 damage with normal guns. I dont want to imagine what he can do with a chainsaw =)
Returning on topic,and seriously talking,with all those games with tons of ads and expensive buyable features,we should be happy to playing CK,TA and ST for free(and they are complete games --Ck is beta ok--) and for a very cheap price we can have the full version,with various features,all in one time ^_^ but playing CK(as TA and ST),we simply can play without elite version,and to be however happy =)
In my opinion(and for this i bought all 3 elite games) giving 2$ to an indi company(especially with talented people) is just a incentive to make them better =) and obviously,so the sock puppets can eat =P
