With sufficient module choices you can have a negative jump fuel consumption. When you use Skip Off the Void, the result is to gain fuel after using the skill. I didn't test what occurs when you do a normal jump, it may also show this behavior. I would guess that it is not intended to gain fuel by jumping.
On a related note, the documentation for Skip Off the Void states damage is mitigated by a navigation test. My sample size was small, but even rather absurd amounts of a navigation dice pool didn't seem impact the damage that I took. I wasn't able to find much about it, but a Steam thread suggested that it may have been converted to a talent holder only save? I'm not sure what were the dice used on either side of the roll, so I was unable to make an informed decision about managing the damage that occurs from the skill.
