...my Merchant template has been accidentally deleted. Reinstalled the games several times. Deleted the registry and files for the game everywhere. Still no Merchant option in the list of templates. This is kinda driving me crazy. MOO

Sorry to hear that. Are you sure you're on the right game -- ST Classic?
Just move your saved game folder out of the way, let the game restart. It will create them all. Then place the merchant template back into the saved game folder.
... or just make a new one?
