So in my 102 years of exploring, I've lost 6 arms, 9 ears, 4 legs, 8 hands, 9 eyes, and 7 feet on top of numerous other injuries. The problem is, I still don't have the experience to check out the harsher planets. I'm level 11 and have exploring at 15. I've gone through several hundred crew and I've amassed 900k in credits. I guess the point here is that my spy got to level 40ish in this amount of time before being blown apart in mid space and it send a little unfair that explorers get so little in exp. Is there a better way for explorers to get exp?

Explorers are great for getting early cash ... their bonuses when it comes to finding the good stuff is significant and you should be able to get a few hundred thousand credits within a couple of years of playing.
HOWEVER, if you think about Explorers as being the old gold miners of the past. They'd go out, risk life and limb, but when they strike it rich, most stop, spend, and take advantage of their new found wealth. A few others have gold fever, and go back for more, never to be heard from again.
Story to be learned? After you make your initial wealth - enough to get you a nice ship and a nest-egg of a few hundred k, start branching out. Do some contracts, kill some steel song bad guys. Start trading in the restricted goods instead of harvesting them.

Javat owns all. Cadar owns nothing.

True.
Whatever Javat owns, Cadar takes it though. Which is "All".

You can't be to sure about DeValtos tho. They are like the british with their word play. Every time I try and be mean to them, I end up destroying a random house and ending up a hero. Btw, microbrew from the Rychart is the best in the galaxy, is the only reason I keep them around.

Being both a Devaltos and Rychart loyalist, I can say without a doubt. Devaltos spice hall strippers give a better show. But Thulon's give more. Which is why the Doctor works out of the Spice Hall!

I've played a Thulun Explorer 10 times more than any other character. I agree that we should get more XP for exploring. It takes a lot of work and patience to do it right. Just because I'm an Explorer, doesn't mean I'm not going to do other missions though. I'll still pirate a Javat merchant ship if I run across one, blockade a Cadar planet if I happen to be passing by, etc., etc. Being an Explorer in Star Traders is just what profession I started with but I can act like any character I want at any given time.

I started doing surveillance work against the rychart and I'm still leveling kind of slow. There needs to be a little bit of a boost I think. Btw, Corey, please make ST tablet comparable (ie make the menus bigger, the map is just fine). Thank you :-)

ST RPG is compatible and tested on many Android Tablets. I'm interested in hearing about your device and specific suggestions, of course.

Btw, Corey, please make ST tablet comparable (ie make the menus bigger, the map is just fine). Thank you :-) If you are getting bad XP for SURV or BLOCK actions you are doing it wrong. Join a Faction and align your activities with the Faction's other ships -- use Conflicts and Rumors. Done correctly SURV and BLOCK are very high XP generators.

I'm using a Motorola Xoom. It has to run ST in a compatibility mode. The menus are the same size as on my phone and there is a huge blank area. If I want to stretch the image, it gets severely pixelated. To give you an idea, my map is on a 20x11 grid and all the buttons are scaled the same way so the buttons are very small. I don't mind playing this way, but the menus are way easier to navigate on my phone. Later tonight I can upload a screen shot for you (I play primarily at work as security guards in banks don't do much). I guess what I'm getting at is the scaling for this device, it wants to run it like a phone. Thanks for the quick response :-)
