So I've been playing Cyber Knights and Star Traders for some time. Great games. Thumbs up Trese bros.
But I recently made a hacker character, and I just don't get it. I unlock the hack network button and mash it til I'm nearly out of time, but never get any paydata.
Can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong. Please?
Thanks in advance

the map you access the 'Net from doesn't matter -- that's like your ISP.
The "host" you access is what really matters -- like regions, they are owned by particular factions.
So there are "Brave Star" networks and "Mars" networks ... the host you access from only makes it easier to escape into friendly territory.
Coming soon are Matrix hacking missions and "private networks" which are hosts that can only be accessed from a particular terminal.

Cool... I get it now. Thanks for the prompt reply Cory.
Once again, great job on your games. Star Traders and Cyber Knights have eaten more of my time than many many big name games.
Seriously, you guys rock.
(in fact, at this very moment i'm playing Cyber Knights cause d3 isnt working. Error 37 noooo!)
;D keep up the good work man.

D2 and D3... probably means diablo 2 and 3. When a big name game comes out that eats a ton of time like D3 will, many smaller games will be ignored and gather dust for a bit. I know mass effect 3 kept me from playing other games for a few weeks. ;D

And no offense, but that is how it should be. Whether it is a game you have been waiting to play, or have the rest of the franchise, etc then of course your attention will be on the bigger (hyped) game. The biggest benefit you have, is that (and I will Use D3 as the example) the newer games in are designed for PC or consoles, meaning that most of them are tied to one physical gaming location. They can't always play, especially if they are away from home. But they already have a TB game on their SmartPhone/tablet,etc. It may take a little time before they get played again, if they were loyal before they will be back to play again, and they already know it is a safe investment.

Hell I rented ME3, and not having played any of the previous games...I was hooked. Alas, it was only a RedBox rental, and I had it for 2 days. I don't have many games on my Droid3. right now, I believe I have CK and Angband (and the variants too) and the last two are even simpler Rogue-likes. Since I almost always play late (meaning I am not a hype monster...I can wait to play that Hot game, years in fact. and I end up saving money too) I don't really have this issue with the brand new games, but have interruptions very often. Ah... Was never a fan of the Diablo series. I was more into RTS games like C&C

I love RTS too. I still don't even have SC2. I would love to play it, but haven't been able to justify the expense. C&C was so awesome, I actually played against other gamers using two original playstations, two TVs, and Red Alert. each player got one of the disks. the PCs went down and it was a quick and easy replacement that became weekly tournaments. lol. We also played Dune2000 like that too (only you had to own 2 copies of the game.)

I like rts to, though I'm not really a fan...fps is more my thimg. Diablo 3 isn't getting my money anytime soon... but as soon as borderlands 2 is out they get my 63 bucks easy.

@los and gravis
Red Alert was one of the best offshots of C&C ;D I would play against 3 people in LAN and win. Generals was also awesome because of the all terrain vehicles and faction abilities like the tunnel. Never liked SC so much because allies can control your units. Lost 30 warships to a Zerg swarm because of my team mates stupidity. I play LOL and DOTA every now and then but thats the extent of my pc gaming for now.
