@cory Thanks for the feedback ;D Let me see what else I can think of so we can create different variations between skills and classes. @grav I will try it out but I'm assuming that for it to be effective is to move around Streets and Los V. Will give feed back on how it works for me. I have 2 martial artists that I want to beef up

No, to be effective you want to stay in Roxbury Crossing and only do package pickup jobs there, unless you have a large enough computer that you can take 4 jobs in Yakuza land. What makes the thing effective is that you *aren't* walking from zone to zone, which is wasted time. For package pickups, you are always on a mission -- get the thing, bring it to Tuckmore's. And you get to collect 2 and then later 4 at a time. The 'XP generated for square walked' ratio is huge compared to the 'walk to some other neighbourhood and deliver something, or kill something, deadhead back and repeat'. It's not so bad for Yakuza jobs in Copley square, since you can do 2 jobs there and then pick up 2 jobs at the Gamling Den that go right back to Roxbury Crossing -- but there is still that walk back and forth through the Commonwealth to ammortise.

Got it! So you need to find out what are possible skill specializations per available skill. How does this sound: ATHLETICS: Running (Speed Boost), Stamina (Improves Energy Reduction), Enviroment Awareness (Improves ability to avoid Enviroment Events like gas, explosions etc), Body Tone (Improves Experience Requirement for building Body, Strength and Dexterity stats), Dodge Bonus FIREARMS: Pistols, SMG, HMG, Rifles, Range Finder (Improved Range), Speed load (Reload without using AP), Kill Shot (Improved Weapon Power Bonus) STEALTH: Infiltration (Reduced Negative Encounters), Escort (Ability to "smuggle" escort jobs in cabs), Ambush (Initiative Bonus in Combat), Vanish (Ability to Escape in combat regardless of opponent proximity) BRAWLING: Gauntlets/Gloves, Staffs/Swords, Close In (Movement boost when closing in opponents), Evasion (Improved Dodge Bonus vs Melee) This is what I have so far. Lemmie think of what else I can come up with ;D @cory I came up with a streamlined idea based on the theory you provided: UNIVERSAL PASSIVES (SKILLS)FIREARMS: Pick weapon type to specialize (Pistols, SMG etc) and pick either accuracy buff or receive additional attacks when using specialized weapon. BRAWLING: This would branch out to two categories: ARMED and UNARMED combat. UNARMED (Gauntlet/Stunna/Taser etc) would need to pick a martial arts skill like Krav Maga, Wing Chun, Aikido etc. Passives would vary based on discipline specialized in. For example Wing Chun specialist would get more attack combos, Krav Maga would have power buffs and Aikido practitioners would have better defense soaks vs melee. ARMED specialists would need to pick a fighting style like Fencing, Kendo and Arnis for example. Fencing focuses on speed so more attacks while Kendo deals with precision strikes so improve weapon penetration and Arnis teaches how to work with 2 weapons simultaneously so a person can use two Doom Hammers in combat to do awesome damage. STEALTH: Infiltration (Reduces negative confrontation immensely), First Strike (Gives initiative to everyone in party during phase 1 of combat), Camouflage (Passive buff to armor dodge bonus) Vanish (Increased probability for Escape in combat). ATHLETICS: Cardio Training (Passive stamina reduction buff. Get less tired), Gymnastics (Passive dodge buff. Increases dodge value when dodging in combat), Cross Training (Improved resistance to gas and explosion events), Running (Additional movement hexes in combat) NEGOTIATE: Fast Talker (Improved positive encounter rates. People give you more v-chips, thank you for help etc). Trader (Discounted rates on items bought and more nu-yen received for items sold), Preferred Client (Discounted rates on all services like hotels, doctors, cabs etc except cybernetic implants.), Negotiator (Improved success rates for negotiate jobs and less nu-yen paid in bribes) INTIMIDATE Street Rep (Reduced negative encounter rates. People give you more v-chips, ask for help etc), Fear Factor (Passive buff that provides additional mental damage in combat), Enforcer Tactics (Improved success rates for intimidation jobs and improved heat reduction when using intimidate after winning combat) That's pretty much it. I'm not much into hacking or electronic so I'm out of ideas there. Hope this helps ;D

At the moment the matrix isn't fleshed out enough to have too many specialties. The only one I want is more valuable pay data

Here are my ideas for specialized actives:
GUNSLINGER: Speed Load (Reload without using AP) and Shoot Em Up (Use two pistols simultaneously in combat)
SNIPER: Kill Shot (Pen/Pow buff) and Range Finder (Additional weapon range buff)
CYBERSWORD: Charge In (Increased movement in combat) and Power Up (Pen/Pow buff)
FACE MASTER: Bribe (Provides bribe option to opponents during combat phase) and Intimidate (Adds mental damage to attacks)
HACKER: Juice (Hacking skill buff) and Hard Drive (Increased memory buff for courier missions)
AGENTEX: Break In (Can enter safe house they don't own and enter locations with passes that they don't have like BS guard station, backroom shops etc) and Maintenance (If character is cybered to a certain degree, player regenerates physical damage due to electronics skill)

At the moment the matrix isn't fleshed out enough to have too many specialties. The only one I want is more valuable pay data True but when it does, it will be epic. At the moment skills and character professions don't do much except basic functions and weapon restrictions. As for pay data, its great but I want more easter eggs to find like the Mars Corp Data Sheet, Street Knight Catalogs, Aztek Global Statement etc

I too love the Easter Eggs. That's where I shine, natch. The D-Down is my first home Chum. I can remember when 'Riding-the-Lightning' actually referred to the Chair at Sing Sing. No maximum headroom for you, or the choice of a new generation...The Matrix is Poly-layered Augmented Reality tweaked higher than a Paranoid 'Star' guard crammed up and grinding his teeth. You can feel the pulse of 8space in your blood.
You can't hide from the Tesseract, anymore than you can hide from your own flesh. We are all interconnected, because we constructed the Simulacra, and continued to create; as dreamers do, unconsciously. Those that Deny repeatedly eventually find themselves in an Oubliette Construct buried deep in the D-Down framework where the last of the rogue A.I. are rumored to still be building and expanding.

Here are a few of my ideas:
Athletics: Armour training (Reduce doge penalty from armour), Quick to act (Initiative bonus), Hit and run (Can move, attack and move in a single turn)
Brawling: Brought a gun to a knife fight (Bonus (Or a lesser penalty) for using guns in melee range)
Stealth: Nope, not here (Enemies make a perception check, those that fail cannot see the CK in battle), Knife in the back (An attack that cripples an enemy)
Firearms: Gun-kata (Bonus to attack and damage with one handed guns after dodging enemy fire) I know, I know..., Chinks in armour (Increase the gun's penetrating power)

I loved the gun fights in Equilibrium, I prefer kung fu over gun fu though. ;D
I would like specializations in specific equipment, the kind you pay for and don't get a refund for later. Such as my knight using a doom hammer(I'm aware no CKs can use it yet) can dodge run and fight like no one else....but only while using his hammer. Bonuses to athletics dodge and brawl based on how much xp you dump into your signiture piece of gear.

There is an upcoming CK with gloves, claws, and clubs -- a massive street warrior who fights hand to hand exclusively. That will be the first knight that wields clubs.
