my rumors page gets pretty full, and sometimes i know a rumour has expired as ive gone there myself to look it up and missed it/took advantage of it. Is there a way to remove them? ive tried long clicking, and just clicking and cant seem to remove them, hopefully i dont have to rely on my memory :S

They should disappear when the rumour is over. Are you sure they're still on the rumour page when you get there?
New rumours are at the bottom of the list, the ones at the top (in each section, urban/wild/deep space) disappear first.

perhaps im wrong, i remember it used to be a problem for me, but now you mention it, i cant remember when it last happened to me. perhaps it was an older version problem, or perhaps i was just handling the info in a nooby way. Ill assume its solved until i see the problem again anyway, thanks for now

That code hasn't been updated in 16 months, so if it was an older version it was in early 2011.
The issue is probably one of plotting a course for a rumor set to expire in some short amount of time, like 3 weeks or something. The Waypoint travel beings, the rumor expires and the Captain finish the journey. The rumor is gone ... because it was too late that the Captain decided to capitalize on it.
This is why the system distributes Rumors in the Spice Hall in range priority, so that your Captain is most likely to discover rumors closest to his station.
Also, the Rumors Screen and the Game Engine use the same data -- if the rumor is active, it appears in both systems, if it is deleted then it does not show up in either one.
Some Rumors are subtle and may not be clearly discerned by each player each time they appear. However, if the rumor is active it will display in the text of the Urban Zone.
Thanks for playing!

Would be awesome to get notified when a rumor expires ... saves you hauling 141 units of spice half-way across the galaxy

I would be awesome if the game kept track of those things. This is a left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Connecting these two threads is ... prohibitively expensive (in ST1.)

Thanks for the responses, i know what the prob is now, it is just not realising it expired en route. I like things the way they are. Just have to react quicker sent from pro-boards app
