I have the Image Magnification implant installed in my eyes. It is supposed to give +1 Optimal Range. I was sort of hoping that this would give me a double line of pink as opposed to red squares, as I would get 1 wider optimal range but this is not what is happening. Instead, what is happening is wrong.
I am wielding 2 mk251 Bounty Rifles, one in each hand. They are identical, having been bought together at the same time from Back Bay Importers. They have range 6.
Before I had my eye surgery, when I aimed either of them I would see to my north, south, east and west 3 red squares followed by a pink square, where it is optimal for me to shoot somebody followed by 2 red squares. All very good, and working as expected.
But after surgery it looks like this.
I begin aiming with one rifle. I see to my north south east and west 4 red squares followed by a pink square, followed by another red square. Ok, what this implant does is move my optimal range to one square further away from me than normal. It doesn't give me extra range, or increased optimal range. rats. But what happens when I switch rifles? Now I see the old 3 red squares, an optimal pink square and 2 red squares. Now, no matter how often I switch rifles this attack, I get the aiming diagram with the optimal closer to me,
i.e. the before surgery optimal distance. I've lost the benefit of my lenses until the beginning of my next attack.
Conclusion -- at the start of the attack you set up the optimal distance properly based on what implants you have, but you forgot to have the 'switch weapons' code check for implant bonuses (or this implant bonus at any rate). The +5% and +10% criticals lenswear would be harder for me to check for, so see if they are bugged as well, or rather that weapon switching is bugged with respect to them as well.
