Props for you guys' dedication to this game and its fans. I almost never buy apps or games, but after playing and reading this forum, I felt compelled to buy Elite, and for all the hours I've put into it, it's been worth every last penny. Thank you for such a great game guys, honestly. If you did customer service work, you'd be employees of the year.

- Pilot Officer: Display W/F Bonus Where is this shown? Can't see it anywhere in the status pages. In Cargo, where you see your W/F usage it now display it correctly calculated with the Pilot Bonus. Before, you consumed with the Bonus but the Cargo screen did not reflect it.

Were there any changes to contracts or the ability to recruit? After this afternoon it seems to be difficult to find any patrons with contracts to offer now... And they're worth a fraction of what they were before. Also, lots of difficulty finding men to recruit.
Seems to be re-balanced in some ways, yet nothing like that mentioned in the release notes.

I thought I noticed something like that as well - contracts take longer to become available, star dock shows "review plans" for longer before reverting to a new set of available ships. Hasn't made the game impossible, just... a lot harder

Nope -- nothing like that changed.
I did fix a few bugs in economic cache system to reduce the chance of a duplicate economic entry in the resources reports.
I played for about 2 hours (3 new games, 3 old games, 6 devices) before posting the release.
All my notes and numbers match up -- and I have checks for contracts, payouts, recruit #, etc.
Looks great to me, I'll follow on by reading my mails about ST and watching for the beta-test crew to report in.

I've noticed also less recruits available, and less contracts available. Also sometimes it says there's a shortage or surplus but the price is normal

Something has definitely changed. Just started a new game (on impossible), and there are not enough contracts to pay for fuel. Now I know impossible is as described, but normally I could take contracts from the syndicates, which gives six decent planets (staying in top left of map to start with) and generally means there are contracts available all the time. This game, I have exhausted all planets in the top left of the map, syndicates and clans. This seems to be taking the piss a bit, even for impossible. How quickly should contracts become available again if everything is working properly?

Shortage/surplus prices seem to be off as well. Rychart Prime, shortage of clothing, 18 available at $300 buy / $293 sell. That's with Negotiate at 1. I could make a profit buying these and selling elsewhere. Javat Prime, surplus of records. 1 available, $1074 buy / $534 sell. Would make a loss no matter where I sold these. On the other hand, a few of the other shortage/surplus rumours seem to be having the normal effect.

With the shortages and surpluses not causing a price change and the shortage of available contracts, this game is becoming horribly impossible to play and also frustrating. I can't even play the game Can you please fix this soon?

I can't even play the game Can you please fix this soon? YES! Of course Captain. We'll have it fixed tonight. I mean, seriously, don't confuse a device bug on your phone with a rules change. If I had intended to do anything more than fix bugs reported in another thread then the update would have lots of information about rules changes and I would have posted a blog detailing the additional rules. I'm just trying to fix what appeared originally to be a small defect with the resource report screen on some Android OS versions and devices ... and unfortunately there were some unforeseen side effects.
