I hate to bring this up again but that blockade/surveil/patrol pop-up that would ask how many times to blockade/patrol a sector at once would totally solve this problem for the players with slow devices because there wouldn't be any point of mashing the buttons anymore. And there would be just one toast saying "you've blockaded xxx for 20 weeks and gathered 20,545$ in revenue" so you don't have to wait an hour for the toasts to go away. And you could make it optional in the options section, so those who want it could enable this feature from the options menu, and those who don't want it would just leave it as it is. I know you said recently that this wouldn't be easy to do but at this point cory I feel that getting all the android devices to disable the blockade/surveil button until the game computed all the data would be imposible. An alternate solution like this would probably be more realistic for those devices that takes too long to compute th toasts/data and the game freezes followed by 10 thousand encounters.

I posted about the challenges with that as a solution. Posting another reminder is appreciated I guess "disable the blockade/surveil button until the game computed all the data would be imposible" -- actually, that will be much easier!

Lol oh it would be? Okay then. If that's the case, that would be fine too. Whatever is easier for you ;D

And again, I think the next version will improve it even further...

The issue at hand is ensuring that only 1 thing happens at a time. The next release includes some brand new code to support the "one button tap at a time" feature we need for this button (and the other buttons.) It maybe Blockade/Spy that are the common point of discussion here but other buttons in ST need this feature as well. This is the ONLY way to fix the real issue, so that's what we're after -- fixing the real problem.

I am not sure if we are talking the same thing. I did not visit the forum lately, so I am a bit out of the picture here.
But when I play the game, the response of Patrol / Blockade / Surveillance button push is very slow. It takes a long to compute, simulate, whatever. I do not think it has any relation to the buttons. I can still mash the button, but then I have to wait number of pushes multiplied by approximately 0.5 second for game to finish resolving. It is also not related to the toasts as I have operations toasts turned off.
This lag was not an issue on my old phone. None of the latest updates stating "improve blockade / surveillance" caused noticeable change.
I have noticed one thing though: when not in planet orbit, it works fine. The lag, or slowdown if you wish, is only there when in planet's orbit.

I had not heard this before from anyone. I will add this to the clue list. The recent changes have been trying to solve an issue that is coming up as a Force Close / ANR report in Developer Console. Overall the performance of the buttons is not being improved. The short story here is that you can click the buttons multiple times and Android OS starts running the button code simultaneously. The OS is *supposed* to have a way to stop that from happening, but it doesn't work correctly (bummer!) so we are working on ways to keep just one button tap going at a time. This is hard for Android OS because there are so many variants. I have found that even the physical screen type (who manufactured it) has an impact on how touches are processed. We're dedicated to getting it to work better with every release.

The lag, or slowdown if you wish, is only there when in planet's orbit. I second that. Surveillance in space is very quick, surveillance/blockade in orbit is VERY long. Also, something else I've noticed that really drives me crazy. Normally, when blockading/spying to mutiny, you get one mutiny, then morale resets to 5, then you have to spy or blockade again until morale goes to 0 again for another mutiny. HOWEVER, if you mash blockade/surveillance more times than it would take to get mutiny, you get multiple mutinies in a row, rather than getting a mutiny then moral tuning to 5. So if I have a morale of 2, and mash blockade 7 times, I'll get 5 mutinies, rather than 1 mutiny than morale returning to 5 then morale droping to 0. I've had to shut my phone off and turn it back on many times because of this glitch in order to not end up with -2 health because I mashed blockade 6 extra times.

I definitely recognize the issue you are describing and Google and Trese Brothers are both doing as much as possible to address it.
I have released 6 different versions of the button control code and I continue to work to improve it.
I think at this point my best and fairest suggestion is a workaround: Press the button a little bit slower and everything will work great. Thanks!
