If you have no significant positive rep -- or negative rep with the Fennians, and you ask Patty Coogan to let you into the private entrance of Faith and Fury, he tells you that you need to make your case with the Fennians on the ground first. All well and good.

But he says the same thing if all you want to do is sell him Blue Ox paydata. Shouldn't he be interested in this stuff even if your rep with the Fennians is around 0 (as mine is now) ?

I can see an argument for Patty only being interested in buying from reputable (in Fenn-land) sellers.

grävling - he doesn't trust you, so he doesn't trust your paydata. The more professional and powerful the Fixer or Data Hound, the more likely they are to be very selective about who they deal with, often based on their Reputation within their faciton.

Then I think you should change the dialog to make this more clear. I don't think he should be saying precisely the same thing when you ask for a pass to the backroom as when you say 'I have some paydata for you, you are sure to be interested'.
