If we took that stance, much of the forums should be removed since it's in the help file now (thanks for contributing to the much-improved help file, by the way). Maybe the rabid one had B listed twice as a tribute to his Beastly Bunny character. Or perhaps, as that could be considered a formatting or grammatical error, he was using imitation as the sincerest form of flattery. _______________________________ Every day I'm torpin'..... Starfixer I would like to point out the following: There are 4 alien AIs. One of them is called "terror" and like you said are immune to weapons, have no captain etc. In the help section it states the 4 diferent alien AIs. These are only for aliens though, not for Narv nor Hulk You also can't tell what AI your versing. The ship has nothing to do with what AI the aliens are. and this quote As both your statements appear to have a certain degree of contradiction, I imagine you found more information later on that clarified the issue? I've now tried to removed all mention of Alien and ship relations. You're correct, after B comes C. Fixed . No I'm not removing information simply because it appears on the help file. In fact, I am adding information from the help file to the thread. rabid

Added alien/hulk picture from Slayernz ship list. It's ordered by Hull size.
Will try to add a Hulk and an Alien specific image file for each later.

Nice edits. Just a few things to point out I don't know the pilot bonus vs. Hulks. If I had to guess, id say either pilot bonus or the same bonus the vet provides to aiens/narvs. Only Cory knows tht answer Remove"bonuses apply when going after hulks". The pilot officer's bonuses apply to all. For MO, change to "Provides a blockade CONTRACT increase pay bonus" Only the alien Devour rams. The other AIs don't ram. The Escape Shuttle ALWAYES protects you from exeuction, no matter who. I'll ask cory for a list of Narv AIs. He'll be thrilled to look up in the giant ST code all the narv AIs and their adv/disadv

Plus, I'm planning on geting Notepad ++ and doing more help edits to help newbies. I'll be looking at your post for reference.

Nice! Notepad++ would help me incorporate your excellent help additions faster.
On another thread someone asked what has changed in ST recently and the new help file is a big part of that.
Many forum members (mostly with names starting with "S" have helped HUGE.)
Starfixer, shallowthought, slayernz and many others have been invaluable!

Doublecheck your edits before submission. The current help file has what appear to be questions for Cory in a couple of places, in parentheses. Spell check would be good too, because mistakes there can give people a bad impression even before playing. I noticed the word warrant mispelled several times as warrent in the XP guide.

I do check it, but I hope that cory checks it before osting it also incase I put any info that I thought was right bt ended up being wrong. And any additions I'VE made has been facts, no questions.
BlastGT1, if you want, I would love for you to tell me errors I made when I post help edits (if you can read code that is).

If I had to guess, id say either pilot bonus or the same bonus the vet provides to aiens/narvs. Only Cory knows tht answer Remove"bonuses apply when going after hulks". The pilot officer's bonuses apply to all. Below is what is currently posted of the Pilot officer. To understand what you're saying: You're saying that the SPECIAL bonus versus Hulks DOES exist, but that the part that says the OTHER normal bonuses stating " apply versus Hulks" also apply versus Aliens and Narvidians? The Pilot Rumors: * Booming Spice, overflowing the Exchange and Hall rumor Found * In the palace Bonuses: * Improved Pilot benefits. Not stealth. * Minor wf consumption bonus. *an urban landing bonus *avoids radiation storms *provides a Passengers Contract pay bonus * Bonuses apply when going after Space Hulks. *In addition to normal bonuses there is an additional (yet unknown) bonus versus Space Hulks. Cargo to improve bonus: Spice 10% of hold value (Water tanks, Weapons cabinet, Spybank don't apply) I've never seen one. I've had dozens of encounters with aliens, but no Blockade Contracts. How do you get those? Gotcha. Good to know. Gotcha. Nice to know. Question. There are such things as Narvidian Hive which ARE HULKS. So which bonuses apply to those, Narvidian or Hulks or Both? rabid

The narvadian hive can be hulk or narvadian. If its narvadian, its vet/templar. If its hulk, its pilot. You can tell what it is because if its hulk, then it won't be bold red on top.

BlastGT1, if you want, I would love for you to tell me errors I made when I post help edits (if you can read code that is). Reading through html and looking at the actual text is no big deal, that I can do. The only issue I have right now is working too hard at work, then not having time to do much online because my wife and kids take precedence once I get home, which is why I'm always posting from my phone. I can't guarantee any kind of timely response on document editing right now, or I would already have offered help somewhere. I did point out the XP guide as one area of correction, and right now I can't remember the section that had the aforementioned questions left in. I'll get back to you later on that. _______________________________ Every day I'm torpin'..... Party Torp is in the tube tonight, Everybody just have a Torp time. There are some holes in the combat section of the helpguide I want to fill, like missing info on resistance vs. Board. Once I get the info I need to make the sufficient changes on the combat section, I'll do XP guide next
