Hi, I have just started playing this and am quite enjoying it so far. I'm only a casual games player so am playing on Basic level because I dont have the patience to build up a character that gets killed and I have to start again and even on normal level the cost of the ships are too high. What I would like to see is some sort of banking system where I can store my credits, which I would imagine are electronic as opposed to paper currency anyway, and access them at any port. I would also like to see a bank loan facility, which would allow me to purchase upgrades and ships immediately (have a look at the android game Pirates and Traders to give you an idea how this could be done). Also a hire purchase facility to buy ships in installments would be nice too. i have some ideas on how you could implement these fairly if you are interested. I would also like to be given the option to play as an Independent and I would like to see the can't die feature made available on higher difficulty levels. Finally, does basic level limit the different types of ships available too? Many thanks for what looks like a very good game

A loan system would make the game wayyy to easy.
Id like to play as an Independent too, but it would probably have to be a profession. And there are game mechanics that would make that very difficult. I have some ideas about how it would work though

Welcome to the forum and thanks for playing The Star Trader's economic simulation and pricing system can take some practice to master -- but I don't see how the concept of a Loan would fit into the Faction politics and the economic backstory. Unfortunately, in the game engine there isn't the ability for a character to be part of the Independent Faction. In Cyber Knights we ensured that the "0 Faction" (Streets) was a full functioning member of the Faction list. However, in Star Traders RPG the "Indy" Faction is actually the lack of any Faction data, which isn't compatible with the rest of the game engine for the Player. Sorry
