Oh! When you said elsewhere that in deep space it looks for the nearest planet of that faction to calculate the security rating to apply, I assumed that it would have the same security rating as the planet.

It doesn't use the same security rating -- that didn't make sense to me. It does like a reduction per square away from the planet.

Do some deep space areas have slightly higher ratings,or is it a blanket 1? (Just guessing on the number)

used this strategy works quite well, must be careful on crazy and above though
