Andrew and I have launched a KickStarter campaign to support Trese Brothers Games and a new project, Heroes of Steel.
Want to get in on the ground floor for a new TB game? Want to see us make something really cool?
Here is the chance to cast your vote for our games. If we can make Heroes of Steel work, we've got a real chance at making our other big plans a reality.
A vote for Heroes of Steel is a vote for Star Traders 2, ST Battlefleet and Secrets of Steel.
So ... are you in?

Looks like the kind of game I always wished someone would make.

martyparty - we hope you will help support us so that we can make the game! @team - KickStarters gain popularity as they gain backers. As you are our core audience, we are relying on you to help us spread the news of the KickStarter for Heroes of Steel. And, if you can any amount of backing, even $1, helps add to the project and keep the forward momentum!

I dont really agree with kickstarter but I want to support this because despite my massive rant over at ck, I still love what you guys make. I havent found any other devs/games on google play that I agree with, either in gameplay or transaction options (I hate social games, in-game purchases, etc, I just want to buy, play and no other non-sense) other than you guys. Maybe that androminion dude, but that one's free.
Anyway, what are the options for kickstarter other than paypal? I've had problems with paypal a few times before and got my account locked due to no fault of my own (it was the company I was trying to deal with, one of them being square enix). I'd rather just stick with CC. Still, I'm also not in my element and would probably only contribute 2-3 weeks from now.

vindroid -- all the KickStarter payments are actually handled by Amazon now. I hope that helps! You just plug in a credit card. I am glad (even if you don't -love- CK ... yet that you are still enjoying TB games! Also, its a 30 day project, so there is no rush to support immediately, it helps to have backers joining the project throughout its lifetime.

If supporting heroes of steel is supporting ST 2 (as well as this never-before-heard ST Battlefleet) its definetly something to look into.

Oh I'm enjoying CK. It's like a nice giant park with really tall steel fences and I cant seem to find the entrance. Sidewalks around the park is nice though.
Amazon huh? Never used it. I'm actually in asia, not sure if that's going to be a hamper since I think the online amazon store is actually region locked, no? Still, if there's no problems when I get back to my own computer, I'd atleast put in 25 credits. Blasted chinese new year family reunion.

We've already had a really exciting start to the project! If you wanna help but can't back the project for any reason, there are still lots of ways to get involved and help vote for Heroes of Steel, and all the other games Trese Brothers hopes to make next! 1. Join us on Facebook and share our links ( www.facebook.com/HeroesOfSteelRpg?ref=hl) 2. Follow Trese Brothers on Google+ ( plus.google.com/u/0/103040239547502198639/posts) 3. Follow Cory on Twitter and re-tweet his HoS postings ( twitter.com/corytrese) 4. Follow our blog and most importantly click the +1 button at the bottom of the blog posts you like best! ( tresebrothers.blogspot.com/) 5. Heck, while you are at it, leave a good review on our games if you like them! =) Thanks for all your support, in whatever form you can provide!!!

Hey I noticed on the KS awards, the est ship date is June, 2013 ... is that a typo, or is snail mail really that slow these days

Hey I noticed on the KS awards, the est ship date is June, 2013 ... is that a typo, or is snail mail really that slow these days I'll have to check with Andrew on that one -- we can update the ship dates I think. The basic idea was that we'd ship the rewards around the time the game hit the market. For the physical rewards we just want to make sure we only promise what we are 110% sure we can deliver.

Can you make some ST/CK rewards as an alternate to hero of steel rewards? Like the rewards that allow you to unlock exclusive content from HOS, we can have the option of choosing exclusive content from ST/CK enstead? I certainly have some ideas in mind abount such exclusive content (eg unlock 3 "superships" which can be bought at starport - one big crew militar ship, one fast/quick gun and torp combat ship and one merchant ship; unlock new profesions; unlock new awards which can be completed to unlock more stuff). Or when there'd be a physical reward, we can have the option of enstad getting an ST/CK reward, like prehaps a small book that has all the codes of all the operations (explore, havest, gun, boarding, patrol) for die-hard ST players, as well as some "hidden" info that currently only you know

slayernz - it is exactly that -- wanting to insure that there are deadlines that we can meet without a doubt. @starfixer - it is really important for a KickStarter to focus on the project on hand. Everyone who is new (and we can't do this with the existing community alone) would be confused by CK / ST awards, and it would draw away from the main project. Thanks!

Huh. 40% on the 1st day. Isn't that good? I dont really go to kickstarter so I dont know the standard. I'm guessing it will slowdown but I'm very optimistic for you guys.
