As I'm going to be a little busy playing Heroes of Steel and with X-mas stuff, I'm announcing a brief halt on Cerberus.
I have written a few more posts on this story (word processor) and I'm trying to hurry to the finish. I've also been proof-reading the story at the same time.
I believe I'm done with Part I (By Hatred Born). Fixed a lot of stuff there.

Doing some minor spell checks and corrections on the last few posts. I'm kind of rushing through them a little.
Probably will need an editor and proofreader when this project is completed. We're well into book length by now.
Alas, not that I can sell it 'as is' since its a proprietary universe. I'd have to remove all references to Cyberknights, the factions and Narvidians.

Well, after its done I have to sit down and re-read it too. I have to word it in chapters, not scenes. I have to work on pacing, spelling and flavor text. I also have to give Diana a lot more page time than I have done up until now. She deserves better. I have to flesh out certain relationships a little better. I think I'll have to redo ALL of the dialogue to make it sound and be a lot more cyber punkish, especially Stryker's. In essence, this entire year long effort is but a 1st draft. Kind of sad to see Travis go, but I could not have a fight against 4, 12 foot tall rotary wielding manned robots not have a meaningful casualty. Travis is the 3rd oldest character introduced into the story. As of now the 2nd and the 3rd are gone. (Tom and Travis). I'm harsh on people who's names start with a "T" it seems. Only Veronica and Cerberus are left from the original 4.  A lot of dull work ahead. I'll probably work more on Rat Bastard at that point. I like that rat. Think I'll make it into an alcoholic. Heck, a root beer holic. I want to get it piss drunk on something ridiculous: goats milk or orange juice. Something completely alien. And the flower apron is sooooo going to be Kat's cape. rabid |
