Description:
As an agent of death, you are the ultimate space assassin. You claim no nation as your own and anyone can be the object of your wrath... for the right price. You thrive on anonymity, so getting too friendly or loathed by a single faction defeats the purpose of your work. In order to carry out your assassinations, you need to be able to keep your ship in top condition. If you become too much of a criminal, it will limit your access to star ports. You must avoid this at all costs! Passenger and message delivery are for errand boys and ultimately beneath you. You are not a force of destruction and chaos, but an instrument of deadly precision. As such, you eschew brute force tactics that can be messy, inefficient, and imprecise. Men and women in the spice halls of the galaxy whisper of your fearsome visage. You are an assassin, a shadow, a harbinger, a Hand of Death.
Constraints:
- Profession: spy - Ship: cannot be above 15 hull - Warrior: cannot be raised above 5 - Reputation: cannot be less than -10 or above 20 for any one single faction. May not buy pardons. - Contracts: Only allowed to take spy and assassinate contracts. May not fail more than 5 contracts in your lifetime. - Goods: may only deal in records and illegal goods, unless you're exploiting the local populace's shortage of a single commodity - Additional: may not use the blockade action, may not explore/harvest, but may cache. May not lose any battles.
*edited to add "no pardons" parameter

I've been hashing it out on Impossible, but breaking some of my own rules as I try to figure out how to define them. Currently, my rep with a couple of factions exceeds the limits I've set and I think I broke the goods rule early on. Oh, and one ship had a hull of 16, but that helped me determine the 15 hull max limit.
But, so far, 20 year career, 184 encounters, 86 wins, 0 losses. :-)

A true iron man challenge though I wonder how many weapons you can force your crew to eat before they hang you by the toes.

I was experimenting with a Captain running a ship with minimal crew when I noticed that there's no easy way to get your whole crew to disembark enmass. You either have to lure them away with entertainers or kill them off via combat, space accidents or mutinies. I guess inedible onboard meals would be another way of getting crew members to go away.

Go to a highly hazardous wilderness area and harvest till you have the crew as minimal as desired.

Too bad you can't just sell your crew on an Independent world's Marketplace. "Annoying crew, smelly, $200 ea OBO"

Oh, I guess I left out talking about water-fuel. Of course you can have as much water-fuel as you can store.

What difficulty minimum are you thinking? Also, is this starting conditions, or do the constraints take effect mid-way through the game? The reputation constraint will probably be one of the bigger blockers to your challenge
