How did you come up with yours? Was it just to fill in the blank, or was there something meaningful behind it? I have used Blast since 1999, but since it's nearly impossible to use it anywhere by itself, I had to add to it. I chose Blast because, like me, an explosion is an all-or-nothing thing. Go full blast, or don't bother. GT is for Gran Turismo, my favorite racing game of all time, and the number 1, because who wants to be anything less? _______________________________ "Issue the standard Cadar greeting, Ensign." "But sir, that's one of our allies!" "I know that, Ensign. We're confirming that the treaty is still in effect!"

"Grävling" is Swedish for "Badger". I have had role playing and later computer game players named Badger since at least 1975. And this board won't let me have "Grävling" so I am Gravling here as a login. Interestingly, it lets me alter how my name is displayed as well and there I can get "Grävling".

I've not always been a saint May still have a bit of the Ol'Outlaw in me but for the most part I'm reformed hence the X. Oh and yeah I'm a big fan of the Eagles song...unfortunately seems a lot of other fans beat me to various forums making it tough to get the nick without some sort of modification. ;D

Have been Torvus since bulletin boards and was amazed when it was used for a planet on a ps1 game. . . Now I have to fight for my identity on most boards.
Was a made up roleplay name from ad&d

Formerly Herakka Yurak in an old MMO. It's a more striking and memorable name than many of my former aliases. As BlastGT1 and Torvus have pointed out it's a good name on forums & games, because it's unlikely to be taken.
The actual formation of the name was just formed by playing around with phonetics until I liked the feel.

Many have tried to fathom the meaning and mystery of “ntsheep”. Some have thought I am some pervert that prefers sheep. The only sheep I tear into is lamb chops. My standard photo is a sheep with “NT” sprayed in blue onto the side. If any one asked, I said NT stood for “New Technology”. That confused people even more. This name is a simple anagram I have been using for about ten years. It is one of many I use in games I play. It started out as just a normal game name when I was trying to come up with different ways of spelling my first name. I decided to take it further and use it to screw with family and friends. It became one of my aol screen names. The profile for it would say it belongs to Anna Grahm, a long distance driver that liked to play mind games. Ntsheep can be found on myspace but not Facebook. Where ever you see it, it is most likely me. For those of you that have not figured it out yet, allow me to introduce myself. Greeting fellow TB gamers, I am Stephen

One of my most notable LARP characters, whom I loved playing. Started with the character as a tough-as-nails, amoral mercenary, who morphed over the course of the 4 or so years of game campaign to (essentially) a Paladin of the goddess of healing and mercy. Travail Sharpeyes, and in the semi military rank of our Merc company, the Free Blades, he was Captain.... an easy jump to a starship captain with mercenary tendencies, and there was Captain Travail

Hmm, the Lt part is unique to this forum. My initial impression of the Trese Brothers forum was set by such fine threads as 'Torp the person above you', which revealed to me that 'everyone'was a pirate captain. As a relatively humble man, my first thought was to be a Lieutenant. You know, a simple flag lieutenant, helping his Fleet Admiral go through the masses of data the Templar Knights recover daily from Stardock raids and captured ships, deciding which pirate trader Xeno loving scum to eliminate next.
The Hathaway bit is on most of my accounts, including my bank accounts

My fundamental lack of understanding of the nuances in Naval Command and Protocol is the only thing keeping me from it. Hell, I've considered joining the U.S. Coastguard just to get a real understanding of it. Can you believe it? Join a quasi military service just so I can write about it? So I understand when you say "most are pirates". Some of us simply don't know how to be Space Navy ... just Space Reapers. There is another story too that I want to write, a short story that has been tumbling around my head since 1997 or so ... but ... it involves Air Combat, and I can't, for the life of me, find someone to answer the questions I need about air maneuverability. Its sometimes so frustrating. rabid

I'll let you guess how I got my handle, haha. I used to operate with much more in the way of imagination and zest for life, then I joined the corporate world. Changed all of my user names to some variation of my name, and haven't looked back. Sure, it's a little lame. Sure, I guess it allows people that would otherwise not know me to easily find out who I am. But, well, it's easy to remember.

I'm a comic fan, and Nightcrawler is one of my favorite characters. My name n.c.a.o.a is an acronym to Nightcrawler age of Apocalypse. A completely different character, but ncaoa looks better than nc .

This is actually the only forum I'm active on. I was "lurking" looking for tips on how to play when I decided to ask a question and needed a login. "Lurker" is the first thing that came to mind. I never really intended to be a regular contributor. I actually thought about changing it once but thought better of it. Wouldn't want to lose that image of a heavy-set, mid 40 something male with greasy, stringy hair and coke-bottle glasses. Not that there's anything wrong with that if that describes you.
