Well then, all is not lost. In fact this could be a win for me on multiple levels. I've dragged you back into the quadrant, slowly eating away at your precious time and there is no way that Captain Target will catch Ernesto now. He's approaching -1000 rep with all factions and they've renamed him "La Zurda" because they say that "With his left hand The Maker destroys what he created with his right." Of the 641 ships he has destroyed only 2 or 3 have been able to even inflict minimal damage on his Spear Class. You're only hope is an unfortunate encounter with an alien.
To find your turns you have to go to the main menu and look at your captain through the "Roster" button. I'm at 6935.

So far I have -3475 RP combined at turn 7472. Still got a few days to go  It still feels soooo wrong compared to my normal play style. I'm only pumping stats into Pilot (60%), Tactics (30%), and Stealth (10%). Nobody has scratched my paint since I was like level 5. |

I'm at about -6500 rep now. And low and behold Javat is in a triple alliance. I just got a rumor that there is a notorious fleet of pirates operating between Rift Leporis and Gamma-Javat II. Oh wait, that's just my Spear Class.

Oooh .. triple alliance! I just had Thulun in that exact same situation  ... good thing that in space, no one can smell your kills. <edit> ... unless part of it is stuck on your shoes and you trek it back into your ship. Good thing that I've not done a single boarding action in the 600 odd kills I've had so far. Shoes are clean! </edit> |

slayernz in the interest of fairness and so that you don't spend any more time playing than necessary, I should tell you that the score above is my final score. I goofed up, took a ship with no escape shuttle and lower crew and got borded by a De Valtos Warship! So Ernesto's reign of terror has ended. Now you know what you have to beat.

hey Lurker - I'm only about half the -ve RP that you generated, and I'm at turn 9446. I have only a day before I call it time - It's sooo hard getting people to hate me any faster than I am doing now. It doesn't help that there are fricken solar wars with 4 different factions! I please someone no matter what I do  I haven't invested in an escape shuttle either - I figure that if all the factions hate me, if I lose my flagship, I'm not going to find anything fast enough to be competitive. |

Slayernz, you're just a hard person not to like. Me on the other hand. I lost most of my rep by blockading and blowing up whatever ships I encountered. I would always move to factions that were in an alliance if possible. A few times, when everyone was in a solar war, I just "trolled," flying between indy planets blowing up everyone in between. I kept my stealth low (10) so I would get lots of contacts.
Let me know what your final score is whenever your done.

Well this is my final score - I'm still alive and kicking ... had one scare where they actually HIT my ship once. I blew them to smithereens after that, but how dare they scratch my paint. I don't know how to add up the score, but I don't think I got enough to beat you. give me another day or two and I think I'd have it. I kept stealth up so that I wouldn't be hit much and it worked - but you're right, it did interfere with the encounters. I had 995 encounters, with 835 hostile (no losses). I took 77 jobs and let 54 expire (annoyed a lot of nobles with that tactic). I destroyed a total of 866 ships with all hands, and looted on 707 occasions. How I destroyed and looted more ships than I encountered is a mystery Thanks so much for setting up a legendary challenge. I think that my next challenge will be to get to rank 18 with at least 4 of the factions. Shame I can't split this game into two - get to -3000 for each faction, AND recover from where I am now. Your score is 15236. It's all of your negative rep plus your turns played divided by 2.
It looks like Ernesto can rightfully be named Scourge of the Six Factions!
It's interesting that we played close to the same amount of turns. Ernesto played for 11404. Different strategies, not just amount of time played, made a difference. Ernesto's star eventually burned out, but it burned brighter in its time.
His other stats were:
1,289 encounters, 1018 turned hostile, I lost one, the last one.
70 contracts, failed 3, expired 0
1,051 ships destroyed. That's probably a record for me. I'm not sure how he destroyed some without them turning hostile. Maybe its from merchants or smugglers who only ever tried to run and never attacked me?
863 ships looted and 38 crews conscripted.
Thanks a lot for playing. I'm glad somebody took up my idea. I ended up having a lot of fun, though I'm kind of glad to be done with my little reign of terror. All the destruction got kind of monotonous.

As an official "Where are they now" update - Captain Target has gotten to Rank 21 with all of the syndicates, is loved an adored by all the children of the Syndicate captains I slaughtered, and has put Steel Song back in the normal place of shame. If you added the scores of the three "great" houses, you'd get a whopping -18233 RP. Gotta love Steel Song! Attachments:
