There is an unmarked spawn point in the forth level. It where there is a xeno directly behind one of my templars. The captain to the left has just picked up the first bonus item. Does that make sense where it is? Attachments:

xdesperado - I have checked the spawning code I helped write the spawning code! There is no proximity trigger. I do love these moments, ... the pure evil of randomness convinces players that the Trese Brothers are doing truly nefarious things with our code. A similar claim was made in the last few months that in Star Traders, whenever you took a contract to a world, we spawned a bad Conflict occur against that faction to mess you up. The code has no proximity trigger, but we will consider adding one someday. We will keep looking at the tutorial to see how to balance it out. I agree any players turned away because its "too hard" is a bad experience. But, players bored cause its 5 levels of "too easy" isn't up my alley either! Thanks for continuing to give feedback. Would love to hear from other players! I think it is some kind of illusion. Xeno spawns near you... you immediately see it and interact with it. Xeno spawns across map... takes 5 turns to reach you.... if near end of mission... it will never reach you so its as if it isn't there.

I didn't get a chance to run through the new and improved tutorial so I'll try to make a run through it ASAP. Stupid life getting in the way of things. As far as balance is concerned, at least prechange I thought the balance for a play through on normal was pretty good up until the last level. The last mission was a little much though, Haha.

Fixed the region briefing map to remove the extra objective.
Also moved the strange spawn point down a new creepy hallway for balancing purposes.
