Capen NoLegs has locked in at Lv15. (Don't ask which # incarnation) Originally planning to remain loyal to the Clans, inter faction warfare has caused him to be hated by all but his homeland, House Thulune. He continued to exploit Solar and Trade wars, gaining favor with Cadar and Rycart. He cant bare to be associated with the hated De Valtos. HT(+152) Rank 16 SS(-306) CJ(-462) CA(+54) SR(+14) DV(-104) He has looted 94 ships, and survived 3198 turns with 455 xp. Currently flying a fully upgraded Admiral Raider, stolen from a Thulun bounty hunter( Everyone commits hypocrisy now and then ) It has been renamed the Daisy Cutter, all in mister NoLegs hatred for that damned flower.......

A favorite moment of mine was selling 25 weapons into a shortage for 125k. That was pure profit because I didn't pay a dime for them. And here's a screenshot that shows why I'm still friends with Rychart. I am getting so many good bounty contracts at Rychart Prime. Attachments:

Is there a rule for screen shots? I'm not exactly willing to root. Anyway, nice! About over 200k in one batch of contracts.

This challenge is difficult, but a huge amount of fun! I am hoping my current captain will be able to compete, still have a couple days to beef up his score.

ncaoa, don't worry about screen shots if you can't take them. This is all on the honor system and if somebody really wanted to cheat, I'm sure they could figure out a way. They would just have to live forever with the shame of being a lying cheater. In a thread about screen shots Grävling said she found a way to take them without rooting, but I don't know if works for everyone. I like being able to take them, just because there are always some interesting moments that only a picture can capture. startradersrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tips&action=display&thread=3641

contributor: Thanks. Deffinantly support the Honor System. Cheating only ruins your own fun. Now, I'm saddened to say Captain NoLegs star has winked out Achem...... ________________________ The Daisy Cutter was flying towards yet another bounty contract for House Thulun. The ship was newly repaired from a rather illconcieved Alien hunting trip. Several weeks of orbitting some God forsaken molten rock named Dire Necrotis, and all that had came of it was indi pirate attacks, near starvation, and tens of thousands worth of credits in damage. Not even NoLegs' Templar second officer had been any help finding the dammed flower loving Xenos. So he had returned to UrsaThulune Prime. His high rank and reputation allowed him to take several high paying bounty contracts. After completing all but one, the crew was back in high spirits. What little repairs the Mechanic officer couldn't make were remedied in a quick stop at a Star Dock. It was in a rush to the last contract that the Daisy Cutter was intercepted by a Javat pirate. Detecting the weapons in the ships hold ( and probably harboring a grudge for NoLegs' attacks on his clan) the pirate attacked. Attempting to flee proved useless, the enemy captains piloting proved superior. Several torps hit their mark, devistating the sails and crew decks. Seeing escape would be impossible, and having opted for an Assault Shuttles over an escape pod, he gathered the what remain of his crew. Ironicly, the losses ment there were enough weapons to arm everyone. Every one but the staff needed to run the engines and the nechanic officer loaded into their shuttles. Captain NoLegs stood in a shuttle with his Bodyguard first mate, Templar second, and guard of Shalun mercenaries. Sadly, it just wasn't enough. The losses from the torpedo barages had been to great. Still, No legs and his crew fought valiently. The Daisy Cutter docked with the pirate ship in a last effort to support the fight. Everyone, the crew the mercenaries, all three officers were slaughtered. In the end, NoLegs stood alone on his own bridge against the last fifteen members of the enemy crew. He fought them single handedly, killing two and cutting off the captain's legs in a mirror image of what that razor bladed rohdendra had done to his. Own. He died, bleeding out on the floor, one mechanical leg reduced to a smoking stump. (Moral of the story: Board before your crew becomes Swiss cheese!) ________________________________________________ STATS _____ Level : 18 Xp:616 Turn:4473 Time:143.1AE Age:86 Enslaved:127 Destroyed:181 CREDITS:225,584 LOOTED:134 SCORE: 156

Aww... sorry to hear of NoLeg's demise. Hope you had fun though!
Btw, for screenshots, try holding down the Home key then quickly pressing the Power button on your phone. It works on mine, and apparently I've accidentally done it many times before, lol. (Had lots of random screenshots in the folder)

I just had my most promising iteration of John McClane die, and oh I'm so angry! He was, however, only level 13 so I have the option of restarting him. I think that he has a really good score currently, so I'd like to put the score here for posterity and take my remaining three days to try and top it. I finished after 2560 turns at level 13. I had a total of $555,481 credits in the bank, and had looted 145 ships. This leaves me with a total score of 210 (rounded down). Off to make John McClane Jr. jr. haha.

Have found some very nice Pirate ships people might want to be on the lookout for. Pirate Warlock Pirate Hydracruiser Pirate Carrier Happy hunting guys and hope this helps someone. My personal favourites are: Pirate Transport21 Hull 9 Armor 34 Engines 34 Sails 80 Crew 125 Cargo 22 Guns 6 Torps With upgrades, it becomes equivalent to Fast/Fast, but fuel usage remains very low. Pirate Harbinger30 Hull 22 Armor 36 Engines 36 Sails 86 Crew 116 Cargo 27 Guns 18 Torps Have yet to see one still! If you spot one, post a screenshot so I can see what it looks like! :-)

athiosWas a bit bored yesterday since my entry for Titan class died an early death, so started a new pirate captain on Hard to run a side challenge with slayernz. He's doing pretty good and has 4 ships currently. Using a Pirate Hydracruiser currently for contract work. Also have a Pirate Transport, Pirate Doomcruiser and my favorite the Pirate Warlock. Will probably buy a few more ships when I find them, but would really like to find a couple more Pirate Warlocks. Current one is set up for blockading and boarding actions with Cargo Hold, Escape Shuttle, Battleship Architecture, Cargo Pod and Cargo Pod. Crew 143 and Cargo 132 means it can stay on station quite a while and has enough bodies to smash in most boarding actions. Setting up a second one with Extended Gun Decks, Escape Shuttle, Advanced Bridge System, Titan Components and Predator Tracking Array would make it great for the contract work.

On a side note...interestingly enough I've yet to find a single Pirate ship for sale on Independent planets. Guess only the faction ship yards build them as Privateers...

xdesperado I noticed the same thing. It's interesting what you learn through these challenges. I'm curious to know why Indies wouldn't sell pirate ships. I would think if anything Pirates would be more independent operators.
