whitegauntlet - Well in my mind the PPC was just a single target OHK and that's how I have it balanced. If having a ray like weapon is in the cards I think I would make a variant of the PPC called the Plasma Spear which would fry all targets in a 2 or 3 square line in front of the Templar. I think it would have to cost more though.
fallen - I think whitegauntlet is asking for the ability to buy an extra slot to take a new Templar into[/b] a mission, meaning 5 troopers. I think that's probably not possible with the given code though. If it were possible I think I could have a lot of fun thinking up drones that could be bought and deployed like Templars. Similar to x-com, you know what I mean? Would that be in-line with the game lore, or are the Templars opposed to using machines like that?
Also, added 3 new things to the list of wargear ideas. The P-you (a warding unit), the LITAS (an accuracy booster) and the TOVI units (an Atreus system).
I'd like some input on the honor cost of everything as well as ideas for more bits of wargear if people have any. I'm starting to have second thoughts about my price scheme, as I've got it slanted to give established players something to work with but it might be a better idea to scale the prices back a bit and allow them as decent, low cost options to newer squads.
My thinking is this; if the units are expensive then a rookie captain may not want to use the honor to buy them. I mean, why buy a temporary boost for 300 (wargear) when you can get a permanent boost for 1,000 (a new weapon/armor)? It might be worthwhile to price everything relatively cheaply -or- come up with some nice, low cost (as in less than 200) alternatives to give new players a lot of flexibility with the system.
Of course, this is all just my imagination and might not even be possible.
