Is there a problem with the nano-ready med kits. I'm fairly new to the game and, after a couple of abandoned games where I ended up being hated by everyone, I've finally managed to get myself some nice shiny nano-ready armour. I stocked up on nano-ready med kits and proceeded to my next job, fully confident that I wouldn't need to worry about healing during combat because my nice new armour would take care of it. I died with a message that I had no nano-ready med kit available. On recovering from dying (I'm still playing on "easy") I checked my inventory and still had the 4 kits I'd bought. Am I doing something wrong?

drdave - can you post the name of the Kits and the name of the Armor you are wearing?

It first happened using G-Mech armour (Yakashima), but I've just bought a Kraken Suit (Mars Inc.) and picked a fight with some AzTech goons and the same thing has happened. The medkits are "Nano-Ready Medkit" no manufacturer. They do work if I use them like any other medkit, but don't work automatically. Is it an issue that I have normal medkits higher up in my inventory?

Do you remember where you bought these nano-ready medkits? I am guessing that when fallen added some new ones around town, some of them weren't real nano-ready medkits, despite what they say on the label. I took out an old Knight who had medkits purchased at Back Bay Importers, and they deployed properly when I had him take lots of HP damage. He is in a Kraken Suit. Note, if you died due to mental damage, the nano ready kit would not help you -- it heals physical only.

I'm afraid I can't remember where I bought them, but they were all from one place. I'll use them as ordinary medkits and try getting one from Back Bay to make sure it works for me. I'll also try to keep a note of where I buy themin ffuture and let you know if there is a problem.

I should have mentioned in the first post, it was definitely physical damage that killed me. I was stim-packed up to my eyeballs.
UPDATE
Mr Bay's finest Nano-ready med-kits work perfectly. The also cost me 1200nY,between 300 & 400 nY more than the ones that didn't work. Does your reputation in an area affect prices (KH really hate me and I'm fairly sure I bought the others in an area I had a good rep), or could the lower price actually be an indicator that someone is selling counterfeit med-kits, "if it looks to good to be true then it probably is!".
I'll still try to track down the dodgy kits.
UPDATE ON THE UPDATE
The price differential was actually due to me not being able to negotiate when exhausted. The dodgy kits are from Mars Corp Importers in Charlesbank and they cost 1300nY when I was exhausted, dropping to just over 900nY once I had rested.

Back Bay Importers is on the border with the Back Bay Slums (KH) but is actually in Old Kenmore, so is a Streets' place. So it is a pretty safe place to buy things. The S-Mart in Old Bridge (KH) and Fairlight Outfitters in West End (Mars) and Chants Bar in the Harbor District(Yakuza) also sell working ones, but they are more dangerous ... Your rep with a faction does not effect the prices you get in stores.

Can you please fix the bug whereby Nano Ready medkits sold at Mars Corp Importers, despite stacking nicely with the real ones sold at Back Back Importers, Chants Bar, Fairlight Outfitters and the Old Bridge S-Mart -- produce the "no nano ready medkit" message when they are needed most.
I just lost a Runner with over 560 XP, been with this knight since the first week ... (sob).

Is there a max Rep, BTW? --Edit-- What if you could negotiate in some shops? Combined with your idea, it'd be perfect.

Jacob - There is no maximum Reputation. Reputation will eventually feature into prices within shops. Your Negotiation skill modifies the prices in a shop already (passively) so we won't be adding an active option to Negotiate more.

I'm having the same problem (Nano-ready medkits stacking) with Frontline Disaster Aversion Kit. They stack with my Nano-ready kits, so I don't know how many nano-ready ones I actually have.

bjmgeek - they stack because they are the same effect in the game, I believe. Is there a reason you would want two stacks?

I wanted two stacks because I had a Runner perma-die (I'm playing on Normal difficulty) while wearing Nano-ready armor and carrying what I thought was a bunch of nano-ready kits. It turned out to be one nano-ready and a bunch of FSAK's. After one nano-kit was used, the next time the Runner got to 0 HP, they died. It's really just a matter of keeping track of what I have so I know when I need to go replenish the supply.
