I completed 25 Contracts, plus 1 fail and 1 expire. No Expert Contractor award. What did I do wrong? Is it because I rejected 49 Contracts? The Award doesn't say anything about accepting/rejecting. I rejected contracts that were too far away, against my Faction, and most combat Contracts because there is too much risk of the guy just escaping.

Spike, sorry to pointing this to you - you should search the forum first and if you don't find an answer - ask. The answer was in this thread: 25 Contracts Award
Requirements for getting it are (quoting Cory): Contracts Won >= 24 Contracts Failed <= 6 Contracts Won >= (Contracts Rejected + Contracts Expired)
You've rejected too many contracts.
And if you're afraid of the bounty hunting missions because target might escape - play bounty hunter or military and do some surveilance before engaging him. It should allow you for a second try if he escapes. And if you spy on him again - yet another try and so on. However - for me it doesn't work. I've created records about the contact, but when he escaped - I've failed the contract anyway.

I'm pretty sure you also have to reject less than 10 for that award.
Start a new captain, keep your rank low and build up cash as an Explorer. When you've got a pretty hot ship, take crummy delivery contracts one at a time from the Spice Halls of various worlds. It's tedious, but it's the surefire way to get the award.

It's cool. You're not wasting space on the forums, you're just creating more Records for me to sell to my secret Thulun masters.

jerry -- depending on the game difficulty and the enemy faction, you may need more than one record. You will see a special toast saying "We have the enemy's location, Captain."
