Hi guys, So I have some problems with some awards, specifically Hardcore Captain So it took me a while to unlock it (and a looot of heroic captains died (I'm running out of names) ), but I finally managed! I used the Record Award stuff, and now in my completed list, I have this Hardcore Captain award. Good. However, this unfortunate hardcore captain met his end like 5mn later (the good old "oops, killed in one hit by a random ship!" thing  ). So I started a new character by thinking it was a good opportunity to use this new starting ship. And here is my problem (finally): I can't choose the Aperio Calga ship, the game keep telling me that I should complete the Hardcore Captain award... which is in my completed list. I completed it in challenging, and I tried creating a new character in every difficulty, none can take the Aperio Calga Only explanation I can see is that the character who earned the award should be still alive, but in a game where the dying probability is that high, I would find it weird... Are bonus from an award completed with one character available to all the other characters? bonus question 1: can some one explain how the Doctor/Excellent Patient ward works? Just earned it with another character bonus question 2: there is a lot of "future unlock" awards, can we already try to unlock them, and have the bonus later, or will it be possible to unlock them only later? I'm quite impatient to see them, there are quite a lot  And they don't say which difficulty they require Thanks! and sorry for all the text, but I prefer to explain clearly the situation |

Yes, you should be able to get it, even if the character that earned it is dead, and even if he's been deleted. Dunno what's going on--maybe Cory can shed some light. I do know the ship is unlocked for me. You have to get to wound level 2 or less (that is, take 8 or 9 wounds), and then get healed by a Doctor; you actually get the award at the Doctor, automatically, rather than in the normal Exploits menu. I assume they'll be unlocked for you once created, if you've done them at whatever difficult Cory sets when he creates them.arly the situation[/quote] |

Hi Mikalichov, Re the Hardcore Captain award, what level of game play did you achieve the award on? Was it on Demanding or above? I've achieved the award on a number of different levels and they each show up as being awarded, but unless you've won the award at the appropriate level, it won't unlock the bonus ship. That said, are you playing Free or Elite? I dunno if Cory made it so non- Victus ships were only available on Elite. Bonus Question 1: Err ... I'm not quite sure, but I know that it takes time to get healed by one of those weird doctors that can clone parts of your body for replacements. I'm guessing that with the Patient award, you get healed a lot faster. You do need to be in your starting faction's Dr clinic to get the bonus though right Cory? Bonus Question 2: You can definitely unlock them and when Cory creates an appropriate unlock (like unlimited Cadar greeting cards available for all Cadar purchased ships), then you'll be granted the unlock. Note, again, you will need to have achieved the award in an appropriate level. If you achieved the award in "Normal", and Cory subsequently made the award unlock in "Crazy", then you still wouldn't have achieved the unlock. Hope this helps |

Haha, actually it was a stupid mistake from my part, I mixed Demanding and Challenging difficulty I completed it in Challenging, but it requires Demanding, that was stupid from me. Well, I will find some other achievements to work to, i don't really think I can manage with Demanding difficulty yet.. Sorry for the finally useless question, even though I checked a lot of time (I keep mixing Demanding and Challenging...) Thanks for the help about the other questions too; glad to have found this forum, it might help me stop dying that much |

Heh ... it probably won't stop you dying on the harder levels (I've gone through more captains than I'd care to ponder on) ... but at least you'll be wiser about why they died |

AFAIK, the excellent patient award does not shorten the time needed for healing. I'ts about 4 weeks per wound, but a little random, so it might be 3 or 5.
It simply shortens the time for the doctor button to reappear.
Why not to heal the wounds all at once? Because it's much cheaper to heal wounds one at a time, not all at once.

Heh ... it probably won't stop you dying on the harder levels (I've gone through more captains than I'd care to ponder on) ... but at least you'll be wiser about why they died Well, I started another character just after reading some posts on this forum, he is actually Lvl15, rank 13-18 with all factions, and have quite a good ship... but the best is that he is still alive Might move on to Demanding soon |

Actually, I have the same problem, and I DID earn my rewards ln demanding. Heck, that captain is still alive, and no matter how many times I report his achievements, and see them shiny in the list, new characters cannot use the Aperio or the Tempus.
Also, no captain (including the one that unlocked it) has been able to buy unlockable ship upgrades when ports happen to have them available. Unlocks are definitely broken for me on a new install of Elite.
Ill try to keep another captain alive through a demanding childhood -- this captain got too many lucky escapes for something not to be buggy there too.

I guess I will start looking for some type of bug.
Can you post as many details as you can? it might be as strange as your locale, custom ROM, changes to the Android OS's text or number system in Java, etc. Any details you can post would help because I have been unable to reproduce a single instance of this issue.
I unlock everything in the game over and over. Re-install 10 times this week and I've unlocked and used every feature on 2 phones.

One thing I'm going to do in the next version is remove all time and turn limits to awards.
I am unsure if this is some isolated phone issues, a bug with a language setting or something or just confusion due to my bad UI. I wish I had enough details to figure it out.
